Direct Variation and Inverse Variation | Solving Direct Variation or Inverse Variation Problem

In direct variation, the two quantities change in the same manner such that if one quantity increases, the other quantity also increases. If one quantity decreases, the other also decreases. Direct variation problems are solved by dividing the quantities and equating the two cases.
In inverse variation, the two quantities change in opposite manner such that if one quantity increases, the other quantity decreases. Inverse variation problems are solved by multiplying the quantities and equating the two cases.
