To multiply two terms, multiply first the numbers and then multiply the same variables (copy the variable and add the exponents)
To multiply a function by a monomial, distribute or multiply the monomial to each term of the function.
To multiply two binomials, use the FOIL method (multiply the First terms, then the Outer terms, then the Inner terms, and then the Last terms).
To multiply a binomial by a trinomial, multiply the first term of the binomial to each term of the trinomial and then multiply the second term of the binomial to each term of the trinomial.
