@@julieandersonpeek4024legends will make what they want to make and evolve. Otherwise 8701 would sound like My Way and Confessions would sound like 8701. We don’t need albums that sound like every other one. I know JD and B. Cox can branch out, but there’s a reason MJ didn’t keep making albums with Quincy Jones. I don’t think Usher is chasing what’s hot because this album takes a lot of risks that you don’t usually hear from him, and not because it’s trendy.

This is so Prince inspired and I LOVE it! It's one of my favorites on the album. I can tell Usher has been around long enough at this point you can really hear his influences (Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, etc). I think he does it on purpose and isn't ashamed about it. I love that and respect it. I think he is making the music he wants to make and isn't trying to prove anything because he knows he doesn't have to.
