Love the tutorial. At the end, I prefer to export my template set as an actual template so that when it comes time to use it again, I don't have to remember to do "file/save-as". (I ALWAYS forget that step!). This way, when I want to make new calendars, I start by going to "templates" on the left side and pick my calendar set instead. This way I'm working on Affinity's duplicate of my templates and leaving the original files untouched. Saves me a lot of grief...
I've made calendars in Affinity before but didn't know that about the Paragraph tool. What a time saver! Thanks! Another helpful hint is to add Text Styles to easily change the text.
Fabulous tutorial. You make it so achievable. I learned a lot about the table tool also. Putting the numbers in so quickly is such a help. Can't wait to play with this. Thank you.
@ I should’ve been more clear. I have a two page calendar and I’m trying to put the dates on them like you did in this tutorial. But instead of a one page calendar a two page calendar. I hope that makes sense.
@@norascove Ah okay. Hmm. I think just manually would probably be the fastest. If you are working on a two page spread, you could make one table across both pages, and then have an extra column in the "gutter" of the spread. You could take off the stroke on that gutter column so that column doesn't show, BUT I think having to adjust the numbers to skip that column on every row would be more trouble than just manually numbering it.
Question😅 when deleting the dates to create templates …. When doing one month all template changes. So Monday 31 changes all following ….. not sure it there is something in need to click …. Can’t move to 30 day templates till I figure this out….im new to affinity but know keynote pages and procreate. I want to be able to understand this program …. At least for templates Help!!! And thank you!!
Are you deleting the dates in the templates (master pages) or pages? I hope I am understanding the question, but to clarify --when you open the pages window in Affinity, the top half is the master pages where you build your templates, and the bottom half of that window or panel is where you build your actual document. Any changes you make to a master page will be applied to all pages that have that master template associated with it. So in this project, the masters should all be left at 31 days and you should have 7 total masters with 31 days, and then optionally 7 more with 30 days. When you build out the actual calendar with "pages" that's when you adjust dates. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your response! I had to click no style in paragraph to get master to shift numbers to make templates. I was able to follow the rest of the video and do it all. 😮😅❤ Is there a video that shows how to export it in various ways ?? And can I export it transparent? I think id rather play in procreate for the art stuff ….
Hi, sometimes the video quality gets compressed by YT but if you click the little gear icon in the lower right you should be able to set it to 1080p HD quality.
Thank you !
I didn't know about the auto numbering in the table. Total time saver. Thanks.

Great tip! I always forget about saving as template unless I have specific images and fonts I want to bundle in. Thanks for mentioning it!

Amazing!
I am very new to Affinity publisher, so thank you very much for your help 💞 I cannot wait to learn more.
Awesome 🎉
thanks. I also learned a lot about tables
@@neildevers8952 you’re welcome. The tables are really handy.
I’m trying to number a two page calendar. How would I do that. For a planner. Thanks.
HI, I would use a master page. This video shows how to set that up. ua-cam.com/video/V7oxNjvrHdU/v-deo.html

@@printablesacademyAhh ok. Yes I hate the manual process.

Why is it fuzzy? I can't see the buttons and they aren't described. I've never used affinity, so totally brand new.
