Dogwood Campgrounds Review With Kids

With how hard it is to get a campsite reservation this year, we were lucky to book a last-minute site at dogwood campgrounds near lake arrowhead. We checked in around 3:30 pm to avoid the heat, but in hindsight, there were so many large trees in the campground that direct heat was never an issue. #dogwoodcampgrounds #lakearrowhead
This trip was also our family’s first campground experience in our converted van Cora. And I must say, the convenience of it was terrific. We just backed up into our campsite spot, opened the doors, put out some chairs, and were all set!
The rest of the stay went off as a family with two younger kids would have expected. The girls happily got filthy, and we ended up taking advantage of the campgrounds-free hot showers before having dinner and s’mores.
We all went to bed happy, or at least that's how it started. Unfortunately, the night turned when Emree had trouble sleeping. But thankfully, she was fully out by 3:30ish, and we all knocked out until 8:30. We’re big fans of our blackout curtains!
We’ve got nothing but positive things to say about Dogwood campgrounds after staying the night. The hosts were great, and the sites were well spaced out. So much in fact that none of our neighbors even heard the horrible night we had in the van. In addition to the space, water spickets and trash bins were plentiful. Not only were the entire campgrounds clear of trash, but their restrooms/showers were cleaner than most folks' bathrooms.
Honestly, What a great campground! It doesn’t matter if you have an RV, an Overlander, or a tent. They have excellent sites all over the campground to accommodate you. We highly recommend Dogwood for a future camping trip.
