Hell yea dude it’s good to see you represent the new generation listening to dnb, i got hooked when i was your age and i surely will never get bored of it. Tim is one of the best in the scene, his production qualities and rate are unbelieveable. I’m glad i saw him live a couple of times, when you get to the age you can attend parties make sure to visit one having CV. CVAV is something you surely don’t wanna miss, a unique mixture of a light show and filthy tunes :D
That's Awesome! My mom thought it sounded like a plane crashing into a train, then both rolling down the side of a mountain over an army of terminators. My Mom IS Cool! lol Cheers for Moms!
@@nmnm11 i am actually baffled year after fucking year when serum and the other entourage of similar producers get nominated for the same effing awards year after year, where is CV best producer award the guy is so damn innovative, not putting Serum down in the slightest , just think the DNBA awards need to be damn fucking fair
Current Value in 2017: let's start with some noise modulated by noise, then add some noise and layer the noise with some noise to make sure there's enough noise
Huge fan, the new LP the All Attracting is incredible. I love how you've used synthesis to try and recreate real world sounds, using clever intervals with bass freqs to make interesting music. Absolutely love it, I get your concept I just wish I could apply your knowledge about frequencies and intervals to my own tracks. Very cool mixdowns and music theory concepts. Wicked sound design, I've been concentrating on your frequencies but actually the amplitude attacks/decays are very clever, I hear how you like to use amplitude effects to get that lovely fluttery attack. Very interesting stuff, you are a bass genius.
amazing masterclass from the master itself :) the trick with operator doing drums can be also done with the drum rack, by inserting many operators to each cell of the drum rack.
He's been setting & creating the curve and the latest musical trends in D&B that everyone else tries to sound like for almost 2 decades now. And Tim is such a pioneer, that by the time people catch up trying to copycat his style, he's already moved on to another style, but the same immaculate insane production that is CURRENT VALUE. He's just amazing.
Amazing sounds from a very talented producer. I have no clue why you would use velocity info to select which perc sound is playing though. That's supposed to be a practical benefit?
i didnt quite get that either... is the idea so you can play it all on one key? why else would you separate it like that. i've never heard of that in my life.
so you can have it all in 1 bit of midi and play different pitches. most drum machines do it by putting each drum on a different note. It's not something i'd do but hey
SERIOUSLY?! Wicked! You have been a DNB musician since 1997... And that's about how long I have loved your music! But I am only learning that you do this on UA-cam. I wish I had have found this earlier.
Part 2 is accessed from page 64 in issue 225 of CM Mag. It is not in the Vault. I'm not sure why they don't have it there as well though. Hope that helps. Cheers
Our Google Play edition does not include the DVD but DOES INCLUDE the full software, samples and tutorial files to download. Download does not include Producer Masterclass in-studio video ????? Why isnt that part of the download ? thats what all the customers paid for. No one wants them shitty free plugins or samples you give away. All i wanted was part 2 of the interview. The article will be a good read, but i paid for part 2 of the interview and its not even part of the online package ?
+Jack East The link to watch part 2 is on the second page of the Producer Masterclass feature in the mag (p64). The Producer Masterclass video has never been included as part of our Vault download due to licensing issues.
Its absolute bollocks and you know it. Theres no link on the page. Ill post the article on here later for all to read for free :) it never used to be this way. Like I said i purchased the online version on Google. Everything is there apart from the magical part 2. "IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE REST OF THIS INTERVIEW GO BUY ISSUE BLA BLA BLA" cunts
@@ComputerMusicMag hey, what about older issues that dont have a short link? i bought some online versions of older mags from 2017 or before, and there isnt a link inside the mag to the full youtube video.. newer ones have it but i cant find those old ones. It's total mix by rme. He has a babyface sound card and this is the mixer section that controls all outboard hardware and everything running through it. It has various fx like reverb, eq and a really good spectrum analyser.
I really happy to see video with Current Value as well. Im a big fun, unfortenetly my kick sound kind difrently and not so good I checked 10 times every settings. I know sound could be difrent because tutorail was recorded on camera, but my kick is not so cool then kick from Current even record on camera ;p Anyway Thanks for give my idea to make layer for drum on operator ! Peace!
Wow there is so much technically "wrong" about this guys production approach, but it really just goes to show you... do whatever the fuck you want as long as it sounds good in the end.
In my opinion, these videos are too hyper-focused on specific parameter Personally, I get bored to death listening to the producers recite numerical values and routing options. Just tell us what the driving idea was, and why things were done that shaped the sound.
+Mark GP Atherton Some masterclasses are motivational (like Avicci's). These one is more technical (I suppose, because I still havent pushed play button within temptation of what i'm going to see)
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Never dreamed about CV's masterclass. Big fan since 2006.
Exactly the same ;)
Me tooo
I'm 13 and LOVE Current Value. When I first showed some of his music to my mom she said "that sounds like an angry car" lol

not that i need another synth but i wish Operator was available outside Ableton. i like the dx-7 style visuals of the algorithms.
