More riding plan on riding to the top of MT. Washington this summer from my doorstep. That might help keep me fit on my e-bike. As for me I run clips and part of that reason is clearance.
Getting my 1st e-bike .. but which one to choose is another story ..
Much more riding in the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales😊😊😊
Love this type of show, well done Steve.
Legends Steve’s together…awesome!
Have several ebikes and my favorite ride is my Giant Trance…..
That is until….. I got my POLE VOIMA @ 190/190 Absolutely Love this bike !!!!!!!!
Great watch. I loved Jones writing style back in the Dirtmag days, still one of the best presenters/interviewers in the mtb world if you ask me.
His bike in his living room is SUPER NICE !!
This is cool boys! I was born in Santa Monica, CA though currently residing in Northern California. Great to hear you UK boys mention some local climates!
Hi guys, talking about snow riding, I rode to work on the EBIKE yesterday and fully enjoyed it, while cars were crashing every where and getting abandoned, it was a fantastic experience and nobody got hurt.
Re tubeless with the weight of ebike I burped and wrecked a back rim in Torridon fairly quickly so went back to tubes plus Tannus armour inserts, heavy and slow rolling but ok on an emtb and can run low pressures with a bit more security when remote, so far at least 😁
Nice B&W speakers in that room!
Great show as always 🍻
Much appreciated
Legends :-)
Nice!
i‘m about to get my first ebike and i‘m stuck between a canyon spectral on, yt decoy and specialized turbo levo. any suggestions guys? thank you.
Not an Ebiker but that was an enjoyable watch!
Hi Steve I wish I knew you were coming to Sheffield I would have bought you an Apple strudel and a cup of tea 🤣😅👍🏾 my friend
I like Steve. He's always class !
The other Steve is not bad as well 😄
Cheerful lad
Love that big Petey knows about the Surrey hills
ooouuu you chose my orbea rise H15 in a bike vault ...thank you so much gyus
Hi guys great show as always but my point about the motors is not what a manufacturer will guarantee but what is actually happening. In the video I commented on a statement was made that a motor is sealed and should last twenty thousand miles not Kilometres but in my experience I have not come across anyone who has had a motor last anywhere near that, you've only got to search the forum's to read stories of multiple motors replaced under warranty sometimes lasting only tens of miles. Yet we're asked to pay thousands of pounds for a bike with a motor that may only last one ride. Would you buy a car in the same circumstances?
I think it's time the e-bike manufacturers and the MTB media started being a bit more realistic. What about a video on motor reliability using manufacturer warranty replacement data? I'm sure it would get a lot of interest.
I feel your frustration buddy, but unfortunately you won’t get that answer here. These channels are sponsored by bike companies and the whole purpose for their existence is to get people excited about riding and increasing sales of bikes. On occasion you can see presenters bite their tongue a little, they know the reality but can’t quite cross that line because its their job. I would imagine if you could talk to Steve at the pub, you'd get a very different response.
We need an online database / survey that records how often these faults are happening and the after sales experiences. Riders can then use this as a way to see which brands / motors are worth spending hard earn $$$ on. Only when informed riders start voting with their wallets, things will change. I've been trying to set something up this week but its proving tricky, many of the survey options online don't offer public results based on answers from conditional questions. Not that I've been able to find anyway... if someone could point me in the right direction that would be really helpful.
What is this intriguing is that motorcycle behind ! Is this a 500cc from Yamaha ?
Hey we were the two weird lads you interviewed about tubeless.. thanks for not putting it in 😂
We really need aftermarket parts for ebike motors. Rob Warner certainly lost weight after getting an ebike. Very big fan of peatys chain lube and degreaser. Best & cleanest running lube i've ever used.
I've been riding flats for 45 years, why change now?
Love my flats. Clips scare the hell out of me.
Any one know what model and rough year motorcycle that is ?
It's a Yamaha...the decals are similar to my 70's trails bike TY250 but that looks more like an enduro.
Oi oi shots fired at our Surrey Hillz.
Always flat pedals 😊
Peaty is the True King of the North
….and our sport’s greatest ambassador. Peaty really epitomises what mountainbiking is about.
North of England, not the UK, well now that I think about it, yeah king of the UK 😂
I'm getting a new eMTB at some point. After 20,000+ km my Trek Powerfly is pretty much cooked
👍
Where is the footage of you both doing the big gap? Tut. Check my videos for lots of Steel City footage.
Live in shef and its the greatest just no where to build trails
Loads of trail building going on in Sheff right now dude 🤘
Wrong type of cactus, Steve. Tequila is made from blue agave cactus. It's more bushy with enormous blades "spoking" upward and outward from the base. Passing through the village of Tequila by rail in 1973, we heard that if you took your own bottle to the distillery, the tequila was free. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the train didn't stop long enough for us to test that premise.
Martyn does like dogs in the Bike Vault. He usually gives a Super Nice. Unlike Rob Warner. He also likes a Cannondale and gives them a Super Nice. Unlike everyone else at GMBN.
Cannondale in the mtb world are like jaguars of the car world, lots of history, still expensive but you rarely see them and no one really cares for them anymore besides mostly old fogies, who are usually the ones riding a lefty from the 90s
More peaty
Shimano guaranteed for 20000km? Are u serious? Or joking. If not joking u don't know what u're talking about?
Ooh that lacked chemistry and seemed a tad awkward ....
They both just seemed relaxed and natural to me 🤔
I dont agree, it wasnt awkward at all
FLATS….. ALL THE TIME
Oi - Martyn, dogs are better than people, sort yir head out san :-)
Awkward
