I'm looking for (constructive) criticism, so if anyone is jonesing for some Mario Maker and woudn't mind giving my level a test drive, maybe check this one out. (FD27-0000-018F-4A2E) Lemme know what you think. Also, such that my comment doesn't deviate from the content, this is a great video as always. I'm happy there's someone out there willing to highlight people doing amazing things like this. Well, amazing in the context of video games. Still. Amazing.
Nice Video! Thanks for putting my level into the list. This Powerblock Mansion seems ingenious! I always wish, I had had the idea when I see such well created levels ^^
These levels looks awesome! Here's my latest one, *supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/8034-0000-021A-A7C0***. It's called *3-1 Tiny Big Fields*. It forces the player to switch back and forth between the 30th anniversary amiibo and Mario 64 costumes to explore the level using mechanics specific to each one, but based on a single map layout. Also, the enemies and the landscape change depending on which costume you're wearing, affecting the way you progress through the stage. Enjoy!
Hey Snoman, if you see this, what do you think of SMM2? I think it makes this one look like some free tech demo! It’s going to be pure joy to create and play levels now.
I almost finished an underwater level that has a green temple, and you make your way through the temple and it has coral and vines which are supposed to be sea grass. I added mystery mushrooms where you turn into purple and green squids. You can see loads of coral and sea grass. Very good video, I really love it.😎
6:15 You can actually grab a mushroom on spikes and immediately jump to keep your mushroom. This is what it looks like ua-cam.com/video/dW-RVVPemsU/v-deo.html

Hey snowman gaming, i am one of your wifes students from maywood and would just like to say that i am glad Mrs.Grow introduced me to your awesome channel ⛄🎮
Man... SMM is great but the recent update was awful... Nintendo is now deleting every level explicitly using glitches to win and removing every star that belongs to that player. 500,000 stars were removed in a single hour, too.
Hey man! I made a level a couple weeks after I got the game in November that people have told me they loved. Some people told me it's the best they've ever played. (supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/C3F1-0000-00EF-972C) Well, I made a sequel to it a few days ago after two months. I took what I learned in between making the two levels and used them on the sequel. It's a much better design than the first one, and I've gotten multiple people saying it's better than the first. (supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/43C9-0000-0189-CC46) Anybody who wants to try them is welcome to and tell me what they think. Constructive criticism is a good way to learn how to design something better.
You might like this one. Five Coins in Fire & Ice Castle (8AD6-0000-0223-B1E4). It's very much like a parallel worlds-type stage with the layouts being pretty much the same, except one side is fire and the other is ice, which you switch between via warp pipes.
Hey! I made that a Mario Maker Level! I am glad you liked it! If you want to try games I actually designed you can go here and play: coxyworthy.itch.io/
I dunno why, because it's right up my alley, but I skipped this originally and have been waiting for a price. But it appears to still be $60 years later?! Guess that's a sign of a great game...
+snomaN Gaming thats a good idea, there are many who want to find those gems of good level design and a genuine challenge, rather than just spamming enemies and power ups all over the place and say its legitimate challenge. Too many cheap deaths are caused by this😕 the best part is creating your own levels anyway
That pseudo-checkpoint concept has been around in SMW for quite a while, and is usually called a Luna checkpoint (or was that Lunar? I forget). I also forget WHY it's called that, but probably has something to do with the dominant SMW editor being called Luna as well (or was that Lunar? I forget that too).
I made a video on my own channel called "Super Mario Maker-A Player's Review," so this kind of video is exactly what a guy like me, who is pretty pathetic even at making custom stages in Brawl, needs! Fun fact: Super Mario Bros. was the first non-PC video game I ever played!
I got really happy when I saw my own level in this video lol. Playing 100 Mario Challenge isn't always fun because there are so many uncreative and hard levels. Thanks for the recommendations! Can we expect a part 2?
+Lochlaz 8000 Yeah for real! Or at least gave us the option to set our levels in an order, and make our own "mario world", so its like we were playing our own Mario game!
I believe in idea over execution with Mario Maker and a lot of these have cliché concepts but with smart ways of going about it. Even the things you called creative were mostly things I've seen before. Great video either way.
Well, I'm one of the people thar feel more confortable with Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros 3 limited palette because the lack of details in the blocks lets me arrage them in a way they can be reinterpreted. Look at this level I made for example: Giant damsel in distress (F052-0000-00E2-D4A3) I turned vines into hair, doors into ears and navel, checkpoint flag into panties ribbon, cloud blocks into tissue blocks, ground blocks into duck tape blocks, wood blocks into skin blocks and ice blocks into... Eyes blocks [BA DUM TSSS!!]
After watching this video, I realized that many of the ideas I was implementing for my levels were already done by other people for theirs. I just don't know what to do from now on anymore. =(
+Gustavo Paz (K2L) Well, there's really only so much you can do because the toolset is fairly limited. BUT that doesn't mean you should give up :) even if another level uses similar stuff, doesn't mean its not a good level ;)
snomaN Gaming Thanks. I honestly thought I was the first player to use Thwomps to release beanstalks. Hopefully my levels will be played and starred more in the future. Are you reviewing levels or something in your channel? I might look forward to some feedback and criticism.
A couple of those could actually be recreated in Super Mario Bros X, a fan mario game that is free to download. It combines the elements of smb 1, 2, 3, and world all together. Anyway, the reason why I say this is because it has a spin jump.
Subbed pretty quick due to this video :) How do you prefer people show their levels? Do you just look through comments or do you recommend some other way?
Well if you're interested, I just finished my hardest level, Attrition (C42A-0000-019D-3512). It's kind of balls though... If you want to look at something that's more forgiving, I'm really happy with another level, House of Spoop (7C30-0000-00E3-38AF). If you decide to take a look, I thank you for it :)
I made a level similar to 'Don't get crushed'. Except it was a bit worse and had downloaded instead. (No, I didn't know about it before I made the level)
Ah, the good old Luna Shortcut! Or at least that's what the Talkhaus community calls the 'hidden pipe to later in the level' trick used to make multiple checkpoints or the like in a level.
Hey snowman I took inspiration from your first video and made some of my own I recommend you play all of them starting with Pipe land: BBD1-0000-0194-EBED (my least favorite) to The Quest For the cloud then Yoshi's Adventure then Just a Course (my favorite)
Happened upon this one randomly! Played a bunch of these, and they are good. Of course I have to plug my own, all shamelessly-like: Wicked Wiggler's Wonky Wachinery - 3990-0000-00B9-4012
As an aspiring game designer this game has been a great tool for practicing level creating. Sadly I can never find anything worth playing online. Hopefully these levels fix that

you've earned yourself a subscriber
+Gavin Mcleod Hey thanks! :D
I screamed when he showed Arin's level
+Jayninia Ramos Haha in a good way or a bad way?
There are checkpoints and skyward sword added bomb bowling
If you liked the last one with checkpoints without checkpoints, check out the punch out level. Sorry, but i didn't get the code...
I needed this video
+Teh gaming Birdz I'm glad!
Mario maker need more level like these
These are going to be one of the levels i make when i get Super Mario Maker 2.
Skinny Mario is the scariest thing I've ever seen
+Guy Hahah it is pretty disturbing :P
A couple of those could actually be recreated in Super Mario Bros X, a fan mario game that is free to download. It combines the elements of smb 1, 2, 3, and world all together. Anyway, the reason why I say this is because it has a spin jump.
+N Brooks Nice! Yeah I've heard of it, but haven't played it myself yet
Subbed pretty quick due to this video :)
How do you prefer people show their levels? Do you just look through comments or do you recommend some other way?
+UrbanMythXXXX Yeah, to make this I just went through levels in the comments :) Glad you enjoyed!
Tittle: The 4 Guardians Level ID: AD10-0000-028F-6264 Description : Defeat the 4 bosses (guardians) in any order to have the key and win the level
so the legend are true. creative levels.
+Adrian Lemus lol they DO exist!
Ah, the good old Luna Shortcut! Or at least that's what the Talkhaus community calls the 'hidden pipe to later in the level' trick used to make multiple checkpoints or the like in a level.
+KingTwelveSixteen Hah awesome! Didnt know it had a name!
+snomaN Gaming Just wondering did you know that youtuber Jakck frost miner also says stay frosty at the end of his videos?
hah had no idea! thats funny
Like the Robot roller derby disco dodgeball intro
Hey snowman I took inspiration from your first video and made some of my own
I recommend you play all of them starting with Pipe land: BBD1-0000-0194-EBED
(my least favorite) to The Quest For the cloud then Yoshi's Adventure then Just a Course (my favorite)
+Budder Stuffs Awesome!
For some reason I find his voice relaxing
Happened upon this one randomly! Played a bunch of these, and they are good.
Of course I have to plug my own, all shamelessly-like: Wicked Wiggler's Wonky Wachinery - 3990-0000-00B9-4012
+20thoughts Excellent! Glad you liked them :)
As an aspiring game designer this game has been a great tool for practicing level creating. Sadly I can never find anything worth playing online. Hopefully these levels fix that
+Ben Klein I would also recommend checking out the AGDQ Mario Maker blind race, those had some GREAT levels too!
+snomaN Gaming I missed the mario block but I'll definitely go back and check it out
The Perfect Run
It's really hard
97D9-0000-02A0-9BDE
It's not impossible. No tricks or gimmicks involved, straight up gameplay.
