- Hi everyone! I'm bringing yet another one of my personal mixes, in today's video I'll be presenting you my take on the track "Xscape".
The song was originally recorded during the "Invincible" album sessions, But in this mix I'll be reconstructing the song as if it were made during the "Thriller" album sessions!

Written in late 1981 under the original title "Escape (Gotta Get Away)" the same time Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' was being reworked on. Quincy loved it, but stated it was a bit too close to Thriller, so it was shelved. The title was changed to Xscape later on. It was reworked again in 1999 up until 2002 when it was leaked online. On January 30th, 2022 the original recording for Xscape from 1981 has been leaked out into the public.

There’s one thing you can always guarantee about the Linn LM-1 is that’s it’s guaranteed to bring that 80s authenticity to a track. This is brilliant man
Man it’s so amazing how you get such an accurate 80s sound… a lot of other “80s versions” from other channels sound like modern synthwave while yours legit sounds like something off of the Thriller album
That’s the biggest challenge for me, is to make the song sound historically accurate while maintaining that authentic MJ sound, thank you for noticing!!! ❤️
