Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! My pool light was flickering for months and I kept putting it off because I thought it was going to be a HUGE chore of replacing the light. I though I just had to replace a bulb, but I have this exact LED module. When I was able to open it up, BINGO! All the screws had corrosion on them. I removed all the nuts and washers, used my wire-brush and re-installed them. IT'S ALIVE! Now the moment of truth: putting everything back together and making sure it was water tight. IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you for this video and saved me lots of $$$$. Time? Not so much, but nothing beats the feeling of self accomplishment and knowing that I can fix this myself in the future.

Great vid. Short and sweet and to the point. Thanks for not showing me how to take screws out. My light is changing colors randomly. I will check the ground.

Is the fixed light still holding up? How long did it last? I have same light and it’s flickering. I’m gonna try to see if I can fix it. My only worry is the pool guy told me if I open light I’d need to replace the gasket. I see you reused yours.

If you were not able to fix it...AND you didn't want to pay the insane $700-1000 price for pentair replacement......did you happen to see if there are aftermarket options? Or would one need to completely change out the entire thing (casing...wires....etc.)? Thx!

Did fhe ground wire have some serviceable length? Mine is pretty stuck to the black center epoxy resin and won't move. I might have to cut it and splice it with ground wire.

Mine had about 6' to work with that was easy to pull out.

Yes, Look for the Florida Sunseeker aftermarket board. Made for the Pentair Intellibrite 5g. Pentair is garbage. It comes with the new gasket and it is even brighter than this junk. Mine is missing just one color but I want nothing to do with this Pentair garbage anymore.

@@fyfgt5733 Thank you. We have gone through 2 of these and my pool company wants $1400 to replace. I was furious when I found out that they had put this type of light into my pool. I thought I was having them put an LED color changing lightbulb in my pool. They told me that would be another $2000 to convert the fixture to that (when that's what I thought I was paying for the first time!)

Wow! All that bragging with not a single video recording of start to finish repair.
Just talk of your expensive led light with shout outs.🤡

I’m so sorry for not recording and walking you through the steps how to hold and use the wire brush to remove the rust and how to loosen and remove the screws involved. I thought just explaining that process was sufficient enough! Thanks for watching!

its important to first of all hold the wire brush in one hand and take the rusted piece and move it back and forth across the brush until the rust is gone.
