- In this review we start with the Blue Note Juke Joint Bourbon Whiskey, a 93 proofer for around $30. Then we move on to the Blue Note Crossroads, a 100 proof Bourbon that is finished in a toasted French oak barrel for around $40. Then we finish with the Blue Note Rye, a 95% rye, 5% malted barley whiskey that is 93 proof and around $35.

Love juke joint uncut unfiltered. Some of the best barrel proof 125 for $45. Drinks like 100.Keep that on the bar.
Uncut unfiltered picks are some of the best values in whiskey. And they're amazing.
Thanks for this review! While it is fun to watch y’all sample the rare stuff, these are available and affordable. ❤
What a surprise. Just came back from Nashville with a BNJJ Single Barrel. Also came back with a cold so it will be a bit before I crack it.
Did the distillery tour with Blue Note and can confirm from THEM that it is Green River’s juice. In addition, during the tour we got to see some of the stuff they have coming out and some R&D finishing stuff they have aging. They have various wine casks and other spirit cask finishes currently in testing as well as two honey barrels they said they didn’t know what they were gonna do with.
Crossroads also uses the same wine barrel French oak staves that Penelope uses for Architect which I picked up immediately during our tasting.
Best thing I tried though, by far, was their 17 year 7 cask finish LE monster. If this ever gets released again, it’s incredible. Highly recommend the tour for anyone in the Memphis area.
Danke und schönes Wochenende
I’ve only had the Juke Joint bourbon so far and that is quite good for the price.
Blue note Juke Joint was a pleasant, cheap, surprise for me.
Punches waaay above its price point.
Thank you for the video 🥃
I'm gonna have to see if Blue Note's available here. 🙂
Hey y’all another great job. I enjoy y’all’s opinion on different pours but I still say watching Sara’s faces she makes after some of the stuff Chad said makes it for me! Love the videos keep it up.
Blue Note has done well in blinds for me, here are Some blinds I did recently and the results:
Double Oaked
1 Blue Note Crossroads
2 Hartmans Experimental
3 Woodford Reserve Double Oak
4 Starlight Double Oak
5 Basil Hayden Toasted
6 Heavens Door Double Barrel
Barrel Proof Ryes
1 Riverset (Blue Note)
2 Sagamore Spirit 8 yr
3 Hard Truth
4 JD SBBP
5 Pikesville
6 New Riff SBBP
Crossroads makes a beautiful old fashioned with chocolate bitters
For those looking to try another Tennessee Whiskey (a break from Jack Daniels), I recommend Blue Note Crossroads. This distillery also makes a nice, easy-drinking rye, in their Riverset Rye brand. I discovered it because the whiskey shelf I have was made from a used Riverset Rye barrel.
you got to try the uncut
Haven't sees Blue Note rye around me yet, one store still has the Riverset.
I was underwhelmed by the Blue Note Juke Joint Bourbon, but I can't kick about the price. I'd definitely give the Crossroads a shot if I see it sitting on the shelves while everybody else is lining up for Blanton's.
Let’s go #NuttySquad!
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
Anyone tried The Company out of Tennessee?
When you say “earthy” do you mean you can kinda taste the grain?
I find that younger whiskeys tend to be what I call grain forward…almost like you can smell hay…but usually not in a bad way. Is that your ‘earthy’ or are you saying something else?
Great review, as always!
A 95/5 *Kentucky* distillery? Isn't MGP in Indiana??
Unfortunately Blue Note is not available here
Hey guys. Ahh and Gals, have you ever done a blind with the 6levels of Benchmark? I would be very interested in what you think!
Yeah! Pretty sure we did that on a Live several years ago when they first came out!
Thank you I will check it out!
Sooooooo….. if you could only buy 1? Who wins?
