I love this bag. I have everything cut and I'm ready to sew but.... did you pleat the lining?? It doesn't look like you did, if not how can it fit without the pleat??
I’m sure you found a workaround a long time ago, but at 0:58 it shows trimming the top of the lining pattern piece and angling the sides. I suspect pleating the lining might give you more room inside the bag, though.
