Hi, it will be tough for you to qualify for jee since it requires high level of math. I recommend that you give kvpy if you are in class 12, for which you can apply only for PCB. If your concepts are strong, you can enter IISc Bangalore. Even if you fail kvpy ( like I did) you can give IAT ( IISER aptitude test ) after 12th for admissions to IISER ( Indian Institute of Science education and Research) in which PCMB is tested ( No need to worry, you just need basics to clear the maths part for which you can refer NCERT. Also, build up your concepts in PCB so you can score well there) I myself am from PCB and qualified IAT 2020, will be shortly joining IISER Pune. After completing a BS MS course from IISER you can apply for physics PhD abroad in universities like Harvard, MIT, UCLA etc. and can become either a professor of astrophysics or an industrial researcher in reputed colleges and companies. All the best.

The fourth is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hope it clears your confusion a bit (◍•ᴗ•◍)

I’m currently a high school student wishing to be an astrophysicist but I’ve done some research and I’m still not sure what sciences other than physics I need can someone please tell me if I need all sciences or just 2
Get a Physics or Maths degree first. Prepare for CUET UG.
@@Mr.Physics-ql5syWe don't get astronomy courses after 12th? like I mean after 12th I want to study astronomy for 5 years and then get a job in that background
I'm just 14 , I wanna become an aesterophysicst what course shall I take in my higher studies , I'm from india
You could start by taking physics, so that in case you decide later to not continue in astrophysics, you'd have more options open.
Mpc in inter...than if possible bsc in astrophysics or if not that than bsc in physics then MSC in astrophysics....
Thank you for your suggestion
@@tahiramajid1870 I wouldn't recommend it directly do bachelor's degree in Astrophysics because later mind can change. So, I suggest to go for a simple Physics degree then the scope will be broad.
am from India , I am studying in last year of my high school . I want to pursue for astrophysics for further studies but I do not have maths as my main subject . I have physics , biology , chemistry ,computer science and literature as my main subjects so can I choose astrophysics for my university studies ??? My school doesn't provide mathematics so I had no option but my teachers say it's not possible to choose astrophysics
Is it possible to choose Astrophysics or not ??🥺🥺
Hi, it will be tough for you to qualify for jee since it requires high level of math.
@@shashankgangavatiker7201 is it possible to apply for kvpy in 2021 ( after taking the examination of class 12th board ) ?
@@pujasingh5814 No, KVPY is conducted before 12th board exams.
If you have already completed 12th, you can't apply for it.
You can give kvpy when doing BSc but the selection is so difficult that I won't recommend it.
you are a great juggler

Yrrr teri english toh mst hai😍..india se hi ho n😍
Does it mean that astrophysicist doesnot earn good money ???
No he meant that they become astrophysicist in the first place for thier curiousity
(Btw they do be making good 💰 (the amount really depends on the country like some countries may appreciate it more than others))
@@am32074 but I don't understand how do they make and how much money they make ??

Well as a 16yrs old senior in high school I might not be much knowlegable about it but I will give you what I researched:
Some astrophysicist work as professors in universities and get paid (cause they try teaches) but they also do research
While others do research full time and get paid for it
Here's a part of an article I read: *"Astrophysicists* and astronomers earned a *median salary of $114,870* in May 2016, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. *(Those are like the 80% get around that much salary)* A median salary is a midpoint in a list of salaries for that occupation, where half earned more and half earned less. *The lowest* 10 percent *earned $54,960 or less,* while *the highest 10 percent earned over $165,140.*
The *median salary for teachers* at post-secondary schools, including colleges, universities and community colleges, was *$75,430* in May 2016.
*NOTE:* The teacher also do research so an astrophysicist who teavh and do research together will get a medium salary of a 190,300(114,870 + 75,430)
*Salaries also grow with experience,* regardless of whether you work in business, research or academia.
*Example:*
*Post-doctoral appointment:* $35,000-$45,000
*Assistant professor:*
$50,000 for 9-10 months
*University professor:* $80,000-$100,000 for 9-10 months
Astrophysicists/astronomers in federal government: $145,780
The first three salary examples are from the American Astronomical Society. The fourth is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Hope it clears your confusion a bit (◍•ᴗ•◍)
@@am32074 thanks man
That's quite a nice info..thx really.
Good pay..+ dream job = Real life..
Cheers
Hope we both meet as astrophysicist some day..😊
@@phoenixcreed1112 haha that would be cool
Do i look get to look at planets?
I have heard that if you dont have a phd it will be very hard to get into astrophysics soo is that true ?
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to go into academia, a PhD is definitely important. For some industry jobs, it isn't as necessary
@@astronaughtpov thank you soo much
👍🏻
I wanted to be an astronomy major years ago.
I got out because of extremely low career opportunities for me once I graduated because they are trying to fill that occupation with women.
My advice is unless you are a female, avoid astrophysics, physics, and astronomy. It's a huge political agenda!
I was like wtf he's showing his juggling talent here 😂

Honestly tell me bro are you a Indian 🇮🇳
Obviously, but i think he studied abroad
It is pretty amazing that there is an entire industry dedicated to making up stories about lights in the sky while producing no tangible benefit to anyone. I guess it keeps them off the streets, makes them feel worthy and so on.

Are you in class 12th or doing your undergraduate?
Also, I suppose you are an Indian, and so why would you speak in a foreign accent?
