Sonic's "sharing is caring" speech could easily pass as a Sonic Sez. Actually, this whole story could pass as a Sonic Sez.
Glad someone besides me noticed.
This comic is one of the best to portray Charmy at his best and I love it.

I think it's more like Sonic and Tails are going trick or treat to all the cities, likely grabbing every candy in every city. That or some cities are still recovering from the metal virus.
The Badnik the kids crafted reminds me of the Dreamcaster from the Sonic Boom show. And I agree, I wish Sonic had dressed as his Werehog form.
Imagine if instead of this special here, the special had a side story where Sonic goes to an Halloween party (that would give him a break from the fighting bad guys he does on the daily) while the Chaotix still help the kids solve this candy stealing monster mystery.
I’m so glad the choatix have been getting so much attention in the comic lately. I honestly think they’d be most deserving of an ongoing spin off book. It could intervene with big events but could mostly serve as an episodic alternative to the main book. Could also show us more of the average citizens of the sonic world cause outside of those radio guys and various children we don’t see many significant average people.
So basically the IDW's equivalent to Sonic Universe? I'd be down for that!
Eh, I would be not excited for it from this writing. It’s too fanfic, too safe with no edge. Metal Virus was a failure, cause it did not matter for the characters or the world afterwards.
What even is the main character in IDW?

@@johanstenfelt1206 it’s my informed opinion, though. I’m reading the story but i have read, watched, played better stories from Sonic the Hedgehog. IDW is showing its self-identifiable “it-doesn’t-matter” side growing bigger and bigger with each new arc.

I wonder if Eggman did the same thing as these kids did when he was their age, building something to scare other kids out of their candy, and dressed up as early versions of Badniks he would build later.
Well, in the Amy birthday special, he DID have his robots steal a whole bunch of fruit just to make fruit smoothies.

that is a missed opportunity not having sonic in a halloween costume like a werewolf,his birthday king outfit or even another sega character(like aiai,billy hatcher with it being it's 20th anniversary,beat,nights or alex kidd.:3)

cool that the writer's a fan of the chaotix as those guys are my favorites especially how vector & charmy were portrayed.(eggman outside attacking people for it totally would be selfishly petty enough to steal candy on halloween for himself/with recent events give some to sage as well.)
A cute, wholesome story.
I'm going to say that it's likely Central City, being its United States analogue, is the only place to celebrate Halloween as its known in popular culture. Other countries don't celebrate it besides the spooky season on movies and tv.
Tbh I would’ve loved to have a scene where charmy was by himself and scared about being alone without espio and vector and showing the bullies, that scaring can be fun, but taking it too far is bad and hurts people
A detail that I'm not sure anyone brought up, but Espio's Mummy costume in this story may be a nod to Sonic Rivals 2 since one of Espio's alternate costumes in a Mummy. Also, would be nice if the Winter special has Silver in his Christmas outfit from the same game
I can't believe i didn't notice the bolts on vectors neck, i really thought he was dressed up as some rapper😂
But what was really funny is that his outfit somehow made me think he was Michael Jackson😂

This is not the first time we see Espio in his mummy costume he can wear it in Sonic Rivals 2.
Also this special did a great job making Charmy likable. I think he’s not a bad kid(in fact I have a Charmy Plush) but I don’t like him in Sonic X and Shadow the Hedgehog his voice was annoying and made me think of Max(the worst travel companion) from the Pokémon Advance series.

Probably both. Assuming they don’t redeem themselves they could inherent the Eggman Empire.

I guess because it felt like Sonic and Tails didn't have to be there.
Maybe I was hoping for something more, but it was just.... eh.
