  • Carrying on with the "Lockdown Equipment Series", here is my preferred way to secure the corrugated inflator hose to the harness.
I like to keep the method simple as well as easily allowing for different thicknesses of exposure suit I use.
I shot and narrated the video in real time to try and show that it is fairly quick and simple - so no reason not to tidy up your equipment or add some colour these days :-)

Brilliant! I am going to do this to my K1 and then to my new XDeep when I get it next week.

I left the bungee'd snap on my inflator and now clip it off to the bungee loop off the D-Ring, similiar to your way, enjoying the videos, cheers

Hey, sure, that's an idea. I also wanted to just do away with the boltsnap and have a bit less stuff around the chest.
      Thanks for watching 👍

Just setting up my harness and I wasn't happy with the clip on my inflator, not was I happy with how the inflator sat when clipped off. This method looks way better! Can't wait to try it out.

Was looking into simplifying my attachment, currently have the setup as outlined on Sidemounting.com, but this one is even simpler (and simplicity is key IMHO). Are there compelling reasons to favour one over the other?

Hi, so they are more or less the same - just that what I'm showing was a newer idea is all. As long as you loop it over the nipple of the K Valve, then it holds just fine once the hose is attached. The version at sidemounting.com does hold better when the inflation hose is not attached - but unless you are going hiking in your harness I would not worry.
      Hope that helps. Cheers :-)

I'm wondering how you get into your straps if you already have your low pressure inflator hose attached. I'm guessing your gas would already be turned on?

Hi, ah, so I don't actually have it connected before getting into the harness - I am just showing how it would look once it is on.

What size bungee did you use?

Quite thin - as it does not hold much weight and makes it easy to poke in the tri glide slot - so about a 2 or 3mm is good
