So pretty. I am new to UV Resin art and I just found your channel last night. I have watched at least 10 of your videos since then. Your voice is soothing and I appreciate your instructions. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I’m so glad you’re finding the videos useful! I know you will create beautiful things! 💕. I’ll be doing Christmas videos until Christmas so keep a look out. I typically put my main videos out on Tuesday and Friday.
Hi! Absolutely love this how-to video, I plan on making one for my fiance this year. What do you recommend for cutting/sanding down the overfilled parts that have excess cured resin on them? I noticed in this you said you had to cut it down at the top closer to the hole. Thanks so much!
You can use sand paper if you need to. I recommend sanding in water so the resin particals aren’t everywhere. I also use uv resin and a uv light to put over it to make it look not sanded.
@@leehomestead3424Great, thank you for the tip of sanding in water! I was thinking some sort of gloss for post-sanding to make it really shine, have you used any products like that with previous projects?
@@exo_flareon There are a lot of products out there, but sometimes they don’t give the same result as using the uv resin. The uv resin lets you dome it and polish it in one step.
How long do you wait between layers? I waited about four or five hours after my first layer, adding flowers and then poured my second layer. I think I overfilled my molds and my second layer never cured completely. I did something wrong somewhere. It was wrinkly and sticky after 72 hours.
@@lrt1002 It sounds like the resin wasn’t mixed correctly. Make sure to mix your resin long enough before pouring. And make sure you are measuring the parts to exact measurements. I let my layers cure overnight.
Do you not have issues with bubbles? I want to cricket letters and then resin over that so they would be sandwiched in between. I have been practicing but have issues with little air bubbles-even after using a heat gun
@@jamiesullivan3477 Bubbles can be a problem, but a lot of the time it’s the resin you are using. Another option is to let your resin settle in the cup before pouring it on the project. I use a lighter to pop bubbles and a toothpick to bring any bubbles to the surface that the lighter can’t reach. I don’t like how the heat gun moves the resin.
@@kellyspiteri5149 I was also told that UV resin works best with clear molds because the UV light can't cure it properly when they aren't clear. When using colored molds use epoxy resin. I tried that and it worked.

Love the ornaments you made. I am going to try this out and try a little diamond dust or a opaque color to match. Thank you and Have a Blessed day.
That sounds like it will be pretty! ❤️

Thanks! Hopefully my next batch turns out 🤞🏻🙏🏼

I tried these molds using UV resin and it shrunk and warped. Why would that happen?
I always recommend only using uv resin for small items. A big ornament like this one is too big for uv resin.
Right I have the same issue with these moulds it’s driving me insane.

Can you use real leaves. Will they stay fresh looking?
These are all real leaves and flowers, but they must be dried first before placing in the resin.
@@leehomestead3424 Okay....thank you for your reply. :)
@@lisaanne3485 You’re welcome! Thank you for watching! ❤️
can you put a feather in them?
Yes you can! ❤️
