Lighting looks really nice. Do you know if that thing takes a HDMI 2.1 signal?

Per their specs, I think it's 2.0 in and out.

I believe Atem mini extreme has scalers in all the inputs right now? So do I still need a decimator?
Also do you have a video that talk about why input 1 and 2 cannot handle wireless transmitter? They turns green every time I plug in a wireless receiver.

The ATEM Mini Extreme has scalers BUTTTT and it's a bit BUT... The scalers don't scale 4K. The ATEM is only compatible with framerates and resolutions up to 1080P at 60 frames. As we're seeing more and more cameras shooting in 4K, 6K and higher, it's becoming problematic because not all cameras allow you to record in 4K internally but output 1080 over the HDMI or SDI outputs. This is making a huge problem for the ATEM switchers because it won't scale that signal. That's why having the 12G Cross allows you to scale 4K down to 1080 for the ATEM's purposes but then you can still send 4K into a monitor, recorder or any other device from the Decimator.
I do have a video on why input 1 and 2 can't handle the wireless signal. It's right here: ua-cam.com/video/FpgHrCcJOvw/v-deo.htmlsi=W6RrxDB2jBLAGyZ3
Basically the YUV/RGB color signal issue is at play and the wireless receiver that you have plugged into those inputs isn't handling the color space hand-off to the ATEM.

Can you convert only on the HDMI ports.

@@easterlingderek34 you can scale an input coming from the hdmi input or from the SDI input. You simply set which input to scale in the settings.

@@zephanmoses Ok so if feed in Hdmi it will convert that on the HDMI output as well. So basically the outputs don’t just Passthru when taking it out with the same kind of Cable. Basically I can make a conversion but not send to SDI.

@@easterlingderek34 You can do it any which way you want:
      HDMI in to HDMI Out
      HDMI in to SDI Out
      SDI in to SDI Out
      SDI in to HDMI Out
HDMI in to Scaler to HDMI Out
HDMI in to Scaler to SDI Out
SDI in to Scaler to SDI Out
SDI in to Scaler to HDMI Out
You can pass through, you can scale, you can convert. It's a swiss army knife.

    Genlock is not timecode.

Hey, you're right. I misspoke on that part. Downside to delivering these off the cuff instead of scripting them and reading from a teleprompter. I've been trying to be a little more casual/candid in the videos. I probably meant to say insert sync instead of timecode. B&H has a good article on this here: www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/tips-and-solutions/timecode-versus-sync-how-they-differ-and-why-it-matters and even they mentioned that "The terms “sync” and “timecode” are often used interchangeably, and the fact that timecode can be used to sync devices only compounds this confusion." So I get it. Thanks for pointing that out! Have a great day.
