Mine was some shit out a movie me and my friend met two senior girls went to the park to smoke were all four in a car rolling a blunt a kid rides up on a bike and ask what grade I'm in I said freshmen and he yells freshmen and a bunch of senior riding in the bed of a pick up jump out surrounded the car with wood paddles I had this big weightlifter screaming at my window to get out of the car in the girl in the driver's seat almost murdered a bunch of people trying to get at us out of there it was crazy
Lol not really, doing things like this by 8th grade was pretty common as my middle school had a drumline that had nothing to do with the band. As someone who played Marching snare for 15 years there's little to no upside unless you get really lucky and become an instructor for a rich area or a college. Professional drumlines you age out at 21 plus you aren't getting paid. The only people who use it to develop income are people that become instructors unfortunately

Band kids are pretty cool honestly. I was a percussionist all of middle school and it was honestly a really cool experience. Especially going into high school and seeing how crazy their solos are, this being a great example of the extent they’ll go to to impress the crowd
Problem is some do it just for the attention and so it’s frustrating when you get someone playing simple rudiment like jig 2 and they get all the attention instead of people who are actually skilled but just aren’t desperate for attention

The tenor (a freshman) hung by his brothers shoulder (senior) and the color guard members held a sheet so the audience didn't know until it was dropped and two color guard members held up the tenor. Was definitely a fan favorite.
