We came across this family herd, grazing in the morning sun, just a few miles East of Oatman Arizona.
This was the year of the SUPERBLOOM in the desert, so they had plenty to graze on.
These gentle yet resilient creatures have called this harsh terrain home for centuries. They are very social animals that form tight-knit family groups, relying on each other for companionship and protection.
Wild burros play a crucial role in maintaining the delicate balance of the desert ecosystem. Their grazing habits help control vegetation growth, which in turn supports a diverse array of plant and animal species.
