I was sick a lot as a child, so I spent a lot of time watching your wonderful little program, when I couldn't go outside and play with my friends, it was you and that pollywog who kept me company. It was your voices that soothed me.
I found you on paramount plus today while babysitting my baby niece, she danced and smiled to your melodies, it reminded me of a old friends I sorely missed.
I know you may never see this message, but if you do I want you to know how much i truly appreciate you, how much you both meant to me, and how im so happy to have you back in my life.
From the bottom of my heart Thank You Ron and Natalie (and Binya too)

Wow! This was beautiful. As a child watching Gullah Guallah Island, I now see that it was probably the most heartfelt and real show I watched..... God bless you two for always keeping it real. I am 35 now and can see how genuine you both truly always have been. God bless.

Wow i grew up watching you guys, on gullah gullah island, it was awesome to see positive representation in the early 90s that also instilled African heritage in the youth I definitely benefited from all the lessons taught on that show. It was a great way to introduce melanated children to their culture, and for it to be on Nickelodeon was big thank you for all you've done and still do for our culture

I love that you guys represent a positive aspect of the wider African American culture. We can vary from region to region but our story of our ancestors being brought to the U.S. keeps us bonded.

As a Gullah Geechee I was so happy when Gullah Gullah Island came out. I’m from Charleston. I remember how excited I was when i saw the episode of y’all comping to Charleston. And yes, I used to hate when the hag used to ride me. Lol

I'm friends with them on Facebook! This video needs to go viral! I believe so many fans of the show would find this culture fascinating! I certainly did when I found out it's an actual culture a few years ago. I want to travel to SC and learn more about it!
