I decided to watch this while sitting in the parent pick up line for my daughter. And I have officially caused concern within the other parents because I have wheezed so fucking hard I got light headed.

For me, the biggest time Vegeta got completely screwed over for no reason was Resurrection F. That wasn't even his hubris, that was just them wanting to use the time thing for the sake of using it.

Ahh, that DBZ/DBS discussion made my day. Fun fact: As a kid, I had an Saiyan OC named after kale (though it was spelled Kayle) before Super came out and there's...actually a Kale in the show and I STILL don't know how to feel about that to be honest.

I know what you mean. My main character on Xenoverse 1 & 2 is a female Saiyan named Kale and i originally made her before Super was even thing. Then Super comes out, adds a female Saiyan named Kale and I'm just like, "bruh."
Despite everything, I still assert that Pan is the best name in the series.

The fact that Corey and Rhaya didn’t know about DBZ naming conventions surprised me bc I leaned about that long before I watched any anime, let alone DBZ proper. Of course, that also means I get to see the psychic damage being inflicted real time as they realize all DBZ names are moronic and that’s always a priceless experience
I low key hope they never clear TEA so we can continue to get more of this series cuz it is straight gold.

To add to the Saiyans=vegetables thing: the word Saiyan, or Saiya-jin as they're called in Japanese, comes from the Japanese word for vegetable, yasai.

Re: DBZ naming - I knew about all of these, but it was so hilarious watching everyone flip the hell out. The Bibidi Babidi Buu set of names were, however, responsible for me being unable to watch the show at all for a while. Not sure why those were the puns/names that pushed me over the edge haha but they were. Side note: all the people of Piccolo's race are named for musical instruments, or at least so I thought.
