  • I wasn't sure whether to call this a "what's in my diaper bag" video or "what's in my purse". It's basically both! I do bring more than just diapers and wipes out with me, but the amount I bring out now with 3 kids in comparison to what you brought out with just one kid is kind of crazy!
    Check out the Ryla Pack : www.rylapack.com
    Check out what I brought out with me when I had only 1 child (pre-minimalism) : • WHAT'S IN MY DIAPER BA...

    I love cloth diapers out and about! It gives me a chance to talk about cloth with other moms when they see me change baby and I am very passionate about empowering moms to try it :) the down side is that they take up a lot more space in my bag and I like to carry smaller! I’m still working on a solution

    Cloth is super easy out of the house! Just change baby right before you leave and grab 1-2 diapers(more for a longer trip) and a wet bag on your way out the door! I use disposable wipes. Then when you get home take the wet bag out and empty it in your diaper pail.

      The Joyful Mom have a little jar with self made wipes with me - does not take more space than disposable wipes. And the wet bag is with me anyway.

    Yeah not everything in your bag needs to be vegan. That's ridiculous if people have an issue with that. People are nosey, ridiculous and rude. If you want to use non vegan things, go for it. It's your life. It's sad people police others. Dont feel like you even need to explain yourself. Sorry, I cant stand judgey people! Moms can be the worst. Actually, moms are the worst! Lol! Anyways cute bag and great video. I left a like!

    I so enjoyed this video. My kids are all grown so this is something I don’t need at this stage of life, but I always took everything I might need in a diaper bag, making it extremely heavy to carry it and the baby. I always overdid it, so I am so interested in seeing something streamlined. Thank you for all you do to encourage those of us who are “packrats” to clear out the clutter.

    That’s the cutest diaper bag! Mine doubles as a purse too. Love the baby blue colour of yours 😊 I have a backpack diaper bag too and would never go back to an over the shoulder bag!

      Actually just use an old backpack from the college... It has perfect size and categories. Special diaper bags are so expensive in comparison! Use cloth diapers all the time but still have some disposables „just in case“ in the diaper bag.

    I also use my diaper bag as my purse. I have two kids both are potty trained now, but my daughter needs the seat that goes on the potty so I have to carry that. I have to carry extra clothes for both my kids. Just a nervous habit I have. I have never needed it for them but I have socks and undies for both kids. Socks in case.

    Man so tempted to buy one of these, the blue is gorgeous 😍
    Unfortunately I can't justify it as I don't drive/walk everywhere with our buggy so the messenger bag style I have that goes over the handles works better for that 🙈

    You will need the extra space when you cloth diaper out the house too because cloth diapers take up a little more room than disposable and you have to bring the used ones home to was and in my experience the used ones take up more room. (Plus a wet bag to put them in)

    Cloth diapering on the go is so much easier than it sounds!! Just get yourself a wet/dry bag from amazon, keep the clean diapers in the dry part and the dirty diapers in the wet part :)

    What is the brand name of the stuff you use for singing and where do you get it? Also chest voice is harder to work with to hold notes longer. Being a singer myself and doing musical theater, the best way I have found to sing and hold out notes longer that I learned is singing in your head voice rather than your chest voice. Also having asthma the vocal placement has helped my breathing and prevented problems with my asthma tremendously while singing.

    • @ariannapflederer
      @ariannapflederer  5 років тому +1

      That is definitely true! I just have never figured out how to get my head voice even remotely to par with my chest voice haha. It’s getting better but it’s a lot quieter. I would love to take vocal lessons to focus in on my head voice specifically. Hopefully one day! The spray is Vocal Eze. You can get it on amazon :)

    I really love the idea of minimalism, personally not my entire life, but for what I carry in my purse, decorations, not having multiples of things. But I find that my anxiety kind of keeps me from doing it, I’ll want to carry less in my purse but then I think “oh what if I need this, if this happens” did you have any thoughts/problems like this when you first transitioned to a minimalist life style?

    • @ariannapflederer
      @ariannapflederer  5 років тому +1

      Yes! I definitely did! You just have to take it slow. I probably still have some things in my house that I keep “just in case” that I need to let go of. Just have grace with yourself and don’t expect to jump all in. As you go through the process of ridding things and you feel that weight lifted, it makes it easier to let go of more. Some times people really can’t afford to let go of “just in case” items as well, and that’s okay. For me, since I can, if it’s less than $10 then I’ll just get rid of it! But when it comes to your purse, maybe start by keeping your “just in case” items in your car and not your bag. If it’s items that can handle the weather depending on where you are of course! Hopefully that will help you let go of them eventually entirely!

    • @ericab1302
      @ericab1302 5 років тому

      That's interesting cos my anxiety manifests as feeling really overwhelmed if I have too much stuff in my enviroment or to carry around and keep track of. 🤔
      That's why minimalism has improved my life so dramatically. Funny how differently it can affect us all.

    • @ariannapflederer
      @ariannapflederer  5 років тому +1

      Yes, minimalism has been one of the biggest helps for my PTSD. But, anxiety manifests in different ways. I can not speak for Becca. But there are certain things, especially in regards to your kids, that can make getting rid of “just in case” items harder. Minimalism helps a lot with anxiety in my experience, but it can make the process of minimizing harder! After you let it go, that anxiety subsides, but it’s the process of it that can be easily overwhelming 🙂

    Such a cute bag! I am enjoying these types of videos from you. Question: do you ever take spare clothes for your older kids with you? In the car maybe? I do, because of the same reason as you mentioned: in the rare case you may need it.
    Also, do you take snacks with you for the older ones? Or do you just put it in there when you go out for a longer period of time?
    I have seen mums overpacking. All the just in case stuff. Each to their own.

    • @ariannapflederer
      @ariannapflederer  5 років тому +2

      I don’t actually! Unless newly potty training, then of course some extra underwear and pants. But I haven’t ever had to have a change of clothes for anything else! I will put snacks in the bag if we will be gone longer and water bottles they just hold :)

    • @ariannapflederer
      @ariannapflederer  5 років тому

      I only bring snacks if we’ll be out for more than an hour! And in that case, I just grab and it and put it in the bag. They also have bubba water bottles that they just carry themselves! 🙂
