    I am amazed to see the products that were rated extremely bad for your health 50 years ago by World Health Orgaanisation are now being introduced back as the best health foods. If you want to increase your Metabolism, another tip is not to eat processed foods. Food cooked at home always keeps your metabolism at optimum required levels.

    • @wilsonsmanz
      @wilsonsmanz 5 років тому +9

      Its the opposite. Butter was replaced by Margarine years ago. This same Dr Axe does not support milk so he is obviously not getting paid by the daily industry. Many non conventional doctors favour butter over these dangerous oils and there are studies to prove it. I mean all you have to do is look up the benefits of CLA online to see if he is lying or not. He is giving reasons for everything he says so u can look it up yourself.

    How do you know if a grain is a SPROUT GRAIN - will it say on the ingredients somewhere?

  • @NaitomeIya
    @NaitomeIya 5 років тому +5

    A doctor I know doesn’t like canola oil because of cholesterol problems. Yep, you guessed it, she uses butter. Still uses canola oil depending on the dish, but only in little amounts. Wishes she could use olive oil more often but it’s expensive around here. Also dislikes peanut butter but likes nutella (and alternatives thereof). Occasionally gets those brown diet grain bread, but those aren’t as common as wholewheat so we pretty much have no choice half the time. Oh and vegetables. Don’t forget them. Don’t want disgusting flavorless broccoli? Then take the time to make salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Most other dressings are fatty and if you have the worst metabolism, impact will be pretty significant. Cut down on rice too (if you’re Asian). You don’t need the unli rice. Let’s face it you just drench it in sauce to eat it anyway. Sauce is another calorie adder.
    If you want fried foods go for salmon belly, all ye omega 3 and the fish will oil itself so you don’t have to put more oil to fry it.

    CONSISTENCY is the key. You can't eat a lot 3 days a week and eat like a bird 4 days a week and expect to gain weight. Because all the energy from those 3 day binge foods will be burnt to make up for the deficit the rest of the days. You have to constantly overload your body to gain weight

      Regardless if its "healthier", its still a fat. Your body needs fat to cushion your organs, absorb fat soluble vitamins, and to store energy. The biggest problem with the video is how much is too much. Its more about moderation, your personal daily caloric intake, how active you are, and your own biology.

    What has your experience been? I dissolved a teaspoon of himalayan pink salt in a small basin of water to soak apples and pears. After a while you would think that all the salt would have melted or dissolved with no residue. To my dismay, I saw sandy reddish and white residue resembling beach sand size grains. I thought that these could be harder salt cystals, but when I took some grains to bite it expecting to get the salt crystal crunch and taste, I discovered to my dismay that it was not at all salt. The residue was sand and other colored reddish non-edible and digestible grains. So beware of bad rock salts. Do the water solubility test to check out what you purchased. I am inclined to think that we are sometimes better off purchasing the mass produced ionized salt because the organic stuff have other undigestible particles that would collect and settle somewhere in our bodies that will be eventually detrimental to our health and well being. Check out your salts at home. How clean are they? Why is everyone singing the same tune of how great natural salts are? Is there any science behind this band wagon?

I'm 6'2" who weighs 152 lbs, and I have a fast metabolism. Thus, I need to eat those "death foods" and burn 3,000 calories a day in order to reach to 170 lbs. Experts say gaining weight is as difficult as loosing weight for those strugling.
    I'm 6'3 and as a teenager and young adult my weight was 120 punds with a BMI of 15, which is pretty low. No doctor helped me. When I was in college I had a nutrition class where I learned the basics of gaining weight. Unfortunately I didn't have money for a proper diet and gym. It was when I started to work tha I made My own diet and started lifting weight and I gained about 60 pounds. If I hadn't done that I would've stayed skinny. Now on my late 40's I still weight about 185 pounds but I must eat plenty of food because I loose weight easely.

      @Nicha not really accurate regarding hgh. According to the literature, HGH levels and cancer follows a J-shaped curve (i.e., low is bad, moderate is good, and high is worse). So there's a "sweet spot". What's more, regarding Alzheimer's and heart disease, there's a monotonic relationship between HGH and disease risk (i.e., more HGH, less risk).

      Stick with the rice and noodles, they aren't the problem -- the chicken is! One of the foods most linked to obesity. Just add more veggies and lots of fruit, drink lots of water, and go with green tea (especially matcha). Moreover, give it time for the changes to take effect :)

    whole wheat flour is no surprise, it is one of the worst death foods especially the last 50 years since its so changed and that's why the government pushes it. canola oil is no surprise, its all GMO and even organic canola oil is not great, better then vegetable oil but still. the only kind of surprise was peanut butter and I am addicted to peanut butter. I have ate peanut butter everyday since febuary and I have to stop. almond butter is just so expensive but ill experiement it for the next month instead of peanut butter.

    • @Jasmine171819
      @Jasmine171819 7 років тому +2

      There is absolutely nothing wrong with peanut butter. This whole "informational" segment was garbage. You're fine still consuming it honestly. It's just a roasted legume after all. Just go for natural peanut butter (no salt or sugar or oil added) and it's a completely fine part of a healthy diet.

    • @RahulsVeganCooking
      @RahulsVeganCooking 7 років тому +1

      True Jasmine. I stopped eating peanut butter for a month and made the switch to almond butter and I didn't notice a whole lot difference but it was nice to change up. I 100% agree defintley natural peanut butter is a must, the peanut butters found in most grocery stores have way to much crap added to it making it unhealthy. Peanut butter doesn't need anything but peanuts because blended peanuts have so much natural oil to it already.

    Grass fed and outdoor raised animals are more healthy, so they are healthy to eat in moderation. It was known many years ago, this isn't new.

    • @Jasmine171819
      @Jasmine171819 7 років тому +2

      They're just as unhealthy to eat as "grain fed." We are not physiological carnivores or omnivores, so it doesn't matter how pristine "pure" the carcass is -- it'll never be a health food.

    • @eileenfb1948
      @eileenfb1948 7 років тому +3

      I wasn't meaning it that way. There are valid reasons why anyone wouldn't want to eat an animal. Animals which are pasture raised do not contain the inflammation causing items which are in grain fed animals.

    • @Jasmine171819
      @Jasmine171819 7 років тому +1

      eileenfb1948 Unfortunately they do though. Animal protein as a whole is inflammatory and carcinogenic. Doesn't matter how "clean" the surrounding tissue is. Our bodies are not adapted for eating animal protein and thriving.

      +Jasmine Kassam Modern farming methods have caused this toxic meat.

    • @Jasmine171819
      @Jasmine171819 7 років тому

      eileenfb1948 While that may be true to some extent, even those most "organic," "free range," prisintely fed animal will contain saturated fat, cholesterol, animal protein (which is carcinogenic in itself), naturally occurring growth, sex, and stress hormones, and bioaccumulated toxicants. There's no way around that, and the human body is not adapted for any of those things.

    Few things : aflatoxins: only of nuts are stored poorly in higher moisture air conditions or are old, aflatoxins not killing only guts bacteria, they are better known as hepatotoxins, can lead to liver failure.
    Another one is butter and high temperatures does not like each other. Butter is prompt to accelerated oxidation if expose to high temperatures such as frying. So if butter no very high temperatures , not for long time, which you need sometimes for culinary purposes.
