With regards to their conversation about allowable unit size for Tom's flayed ones, Tom was wrong-ish. I am not familiar with Boarding Action, but I looked up the rules. What Ben was talking about is that for Boarding Action, units of strength 10 must be split up into 2 squads of 5, unless specified otherwise. On the Chaos Space Marines roster, Cultists Mobs and Accursed Cultists are specifically listed under a section that says "The following units do not split into separate units in the Form Boarding Squads step: " In the Necron army section, Flayed Ones can be taken as 5 or 10 models, however they do not have that exception indicated, so a 10 model unit would need to be split into 2 5 model units for boarding. I don't think this would make a difference points-wise, so not really a huge issue. The Boarding Squads mechanic is not really clearly indicated/explained by either the mustering rules or the Boarding Actions rules, so I may be misinterpreting something. Also, side note: According to the mustering rules for Chaos Space Marines, the total number of units of Accursed Cultists + Cultist Mob + Fellgor Beastmen + Traitor Guardsmen Squad cannot exceed twice the number of Legionaries units, which Ben has 0 of. I don't think this rule matters at all balance-wise, and I'm not sure if Ben is running a variant army that doesn't use this rule or decided to drop the rule in favor of creating a more thematic cultist army.
I've been trying to get my group into Boarding Action, but they haven't bit on the idea. I do think the rules (despite being left behind) are pretty good for a narrative game.
Also if you take slaanesh and choose not to get sustained hits, slaanesh does nothing - she doesnt give you sustained hits she just makes you crit on 5 if you pact into them
Great game! I keep meaning to try out boarding action but hate the idea of buying a 9th edition rulebook for it. Can't wait for the next game, even if we've got to eat our dwarf vegetables before we're allowed to have more wargaming pudding
Thie should be called: Tom and his necrons vs Ben, and his many diverse armies
Hahaha true
Start 12:10
Break end at 1:51:06
Everyone who does this on these videos are the true heroes.
Here, you dropped your crown king
Truly one of the Benperors finest
Biggest of the gobos
Thanks
The lack of monolith is very sad. No magic door.
I don’t get the rules but toms flayed ones conversions look so freaking cool
Tom AND Ben?! Now I've seen it all!
Feels like Tom is the chaos god tempting Ben each turn.

And for my 35th birthday, Tom and Ben playing Warhammer. woo!
Happy unbirthday!
🎉
@@piddlepants Thank ye kindly.
@@jb-23 Thank you.
'Oh, have I done a bad?'
**Found footage death noises**
Personally I really enjoy the tabletop Warhammer. Thank you all for showing off the game.
All hail the Melee Snipers!
Oh man, camera angles look way better
Yay Tom and Ben warhammer!

Love all the cultists Ben!
Ben when you have sustained and lethal you only get one lethal hit and the sustained one must roll to wound. Be more like Tom and learn your rules.
Also if you take slaanesh and choose not to get sustained hits, slaanesh does nothing - she doesnt give you sustained hits she just makes you crit on 5 if you pact into them
You guys should try killteam. It’s a bit more heavy in core rules but mechanically as a game is much better than 40K.
They said on a recent stream they likely wouldnt as it is harder to follow with camera angles, individual models and often more obstructive terrain
@@Scaggler you can barely see anything on the wide cam anyway, so it wouldn't make much of a difference
Anybody know what mat it is that they're using? 🧐
Thanx lads
What terrain is that?
Jokes on you guys they made a book now lmao 😂
I'm just here to learn
Great job boys.
the goofiest lads just doing a warhammer
i would love to see some AOS as some point
Same
