Glad this is turning out to be a positive deconstruction!!! Nothing like making the rooms functional for your needs!!
Also seems that it was a lot less of a mess! Hopefully the bottom of the doors Aren't Glued to the tub❤!!!
Getting all the demolition done before you start on decorating will make things much easier. They are going to be such a nice suite of rooms!
Love the way you are always willing to lend a helping hand. God bless you
Fantastic Phil, you tackled the bath head on. So glad its going. What an eye sore.
Phil, You one Good Friend to have in one’s Life, Always Ready to Help 👌👍👏👏👏🥰
Thank you allowing me to be part of your journey and life at the chateau! ❤
Glad to see so much progress around the Chateau.
Great work Phil can't wait to see it with the bath out ❤
Going to look fabulous can’t wait for the decorating to start
Having to help with a boat is not the worst way to spend your life 😂😂❤❤❤
There's nothing like a good dollop of demolition to make your day go better. So tantalizing! Thanks Phil. 🙂
Get it Phil. Life
Goes on with
Happy times ahead. Press on😊
I think the Chateau breathed a sigh of relief to have all that bad remodel gone .value probably went up 10 grand 😂. Hope your cold / allergies get better soon.
I'm sure a certain Mr Pethrick would help you move the bath
Oh, God...
Why on earth is your first idea for moving a bathtub to call a convicted serial thief?
🙄🤦♂
@@frontenac5083 That's not very nice.
@@frontenac5083why don’t you just go away such a nasty person.
So crazy with the shower tub combo, it must have been humid in both rooms when the shower was running. Surprised there was no mold. Job well done on dismantling🎉
Interesting how they added plumbing. Good job!
I was excited too when the doors were revealed!
That looked relatively easy. Yeah! Love the dark colours you are planning on using. For my two cents, there are variations of grey. Brown greys and blue greys. The blue greys are a cooler colour. The brown greys are a warmer colour and in my option best suitable for a bedroom. Any beiges, browns or charcoal (brown base not blue) will enhance the warmth and richness. Good luck Phil. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Coming out all the stuff for the bathrooms Phil opening it right up. Deconstruction is good so far Phil
You look like you are really enjoying yourself. It's like an Aladdins cave. Love it x
Sounds like you have a good plan.
Love a good demonstration 😊
Glad it’s not a nightmare
The rooms are going to look amazing once back to being all original…
The coast looks beautiful.. sad to see the abandoned boats …
I'm happy the job for the bath isn't as hard as you thought it would be. It is interesting how they fit in the pipes and all.
Interesting is one way of putting it! 🤔 😅
I love it when a plan comes together. Well done Phil. Opening shots were lovely. Take care. Stay safe. Xx😊
Great progress
Are you going to save the tub? Some of those can be broken into pieces for removal is why I'm asking - yes, cast iron too. I thought that those walls were tiled, but happy to see it was the tile board stuff. That made life a lot easier for you.
The foam in the wall does dampen sound, but also adds insulation and a bit of a water barrier. Interesting choice of material.
best to you
You are on roll and mission. Good Work and keep going because it looks like you are coming alive again and growing.
Just saw jaw the tub.
Its like a boat graveyard
Glad your getting your mojo back Take it easy We love watching you xxx
Brilliant job removing those two awful makeshift "bathroom units" the 70's have a lot to answer for in naff designs! Putting the rooms back to a traditional "enfilade" is fantastic and with some very elegant painting & decorating it will look super - definitely choose light colours to give the feeling of calm space. Well done again.
Boats are my favorite way to enjoy everyday. Can't wait to live on my boat this year.
Love seeing you tear stuff out and how lovely the original woodwork is!
When a hotel, there must have been interesting plumbing sounds when guest were running water and flushing thrones. Pipes appear exposed and un insulated for noise reduction. 👍👍👍
Progress, lovely
I guess you decided lol
Phil, you just found the doorway to your future 😂Never mind me, This is silly Tuesday for me.😅❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Quickest bathroom tile disposal ever 😂😂 Much love K🇬🇧❤️
Enjoying this project!
Congratulations!! You moved on. Keep going….reborn Phil😊😊😊
OMG Phil 😂 I was cheering you on the entire video! Get that bath out of there! Good job!! It’s going to be amazing!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yay! Great progress! 🤩
Such a cute little tub. Would be ideal for washing large dogs. 👍👍👍
Love what you’re doing/undoing those cheesy bathrooms!
Your such a good friend 😊Phil always helping someone ❤
I was so relieved to see that blue paneling wasn't tiny tiles. When you mentioned taking that out, all I could think of was what a pain that was going to be. Presto, chango, done! Glad to see "they" didn't mess too much with the other side's doors as well.
What a crazy tub build. Given that this was once a hotel, it was a shabby way to add ‘ensuite’ bath😳. So happy to watch you rip that out. Must make you happy as well!
Lovely start to your video. Easier than it looked. Rip it all out. Go Phil.
Your flowers say it's spring
Well done It’s progressing along nicely
Wow! That was a lot easier than it looked! On my screen, it looked like turquoise tile - and that WOULD have been a mess! It appears someone renovated with an eye to preserving the original features for the future. Good job, Phil!
I like hearing your thought process as you figure out the scheme of things. It gives me cause to check out some things in my home that need to be addressed. Thanks for the inspiration, Phil.
❤They have sewer or plumbing augers that you can rent that can help grind and blast out clogged pipes. ❤❤❤❤ wish you the best getting that cleared. It was a godsend for my neighbor. They can go quite a distance.
St Malo is an amazing place to visit.
This is my 3rd video that I've seen on your reno. I'm getting more and more excited as I continue to watch each video. 🥰
Cathy, Mansfield, Ohio U.S.A. 🇺🇸😊
You are doing a great job Phil. The Chateau will be a much better place through all your hard work. xxx
Way to go Phill! It is going to be a beautiful suite when you are finished. 🙏❤️
So glad to see you are beginning to tackle that old renovation and can see you are, as usual, doing a thorough job. Cheering you on from PA, USA.
I’m glad you are taking this tub out now….. a nice clean space now will be better to work with later..
That is going to be a big improvement.
Well done, how exciting too, you are so close to opening those doors :)
Good move to start the demo. Clear the decks so you can get to your end faster.
Nice that you found the demo looks easier than expected.
Ooh that was easier than I expected. I thought that was all little tiles you had to chip away at, I didn't realise it was only plastic splash backs. Can't wait to see it all opened up.
Somehow I knew you were going to call it a monstrosity before the words were out of your mouth! I hope you can find the hardware that has been taken off the doors. Good progress!
I love that you’re working on your home….i am far more inclined to watch regularly now. Thank you
Looking better already! Yeah! for a job being easier than excepted!
Can't wait to see it all done its going to be outta this world phil x
So wonderful to see you coming back to life after the divorce life goes on been there done that takes us time to process. You go …..
So glad to see the blue tile board gone! Exciting to watch the demo and reveal.
Phil, you do the neatest job of demolition I have ever seen! 😊 Happy to see you are getting rid of that seriously ugly tub and those awful walls.😂
So many times we procrastinate because something seems like a monster task, but once we get going its not so bad. Great progress.
Well done Phil ,really getting on well with that job it will look fabulous 👏
Glad you didn't sink. That tub definitely needs to go. Interesting construction indeed. 😊
I am so happy this is working out for you Phil! A light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak.
Glad to see you taking out that bath. Who would of put a bath in the cupboard to start with 🤷♂️ Lot of work but you do it so well 😁
Oh so glad that bath is going. Just looking at the closet makes me feel light headed and kinda sick to my stomach. Lol.
It's looking good.
It's never quite what we think it will be, so don't think to hard on it. Just do it!
You’re a terrific friend always there for your mates to lend a hand. Yay! Ugly bath space be gone 👏👏
Thanks for taking us on the journey. Enjoying it and it is encouraging as I also am renovating my home.
Yes sir I cannot wait to see the tub come out and the space back to being a pass thru.😊👍
Good job!
When will you explore the cellar?
I love your talking to yourself, then standing back and thinking what’s next. Very entertaining. Good job!
Yes. If I bought the place would put it back to the way it was originally built .❤️
Enjoying your Reno!!!
Glad to see all the progress you have made so far in removing the bathtub. Looking forward to seeing the bathtub being totally removed after you are able to deal with the hot and cold water supply lines. Thanks for another enjoyable video, Phil! Looking forward to the next one!
I hope you enjoyed you time "at sea".
I'd suggest buying several caps so you can cap off other pipes in other rooms later on. Might as well save yourself a trip to the plumbing store. Just a thought. 😁
Love love love what you are doing....enjoy your progress ... and do what makes you happy.....
I was going to say eat the worm first. But you’ve already done it! Great job getting started!
Go for it Phil! Rip it all out and start fresh. Redecorating will be so much easier. I know you can do it!!!
You have a great day sir, week and be safe and careful.😊👍🙏🤗
Excellent video Phil loving what you are doing it will transform the 3 rooms. The new girlfriend will enjoy it ;-)
Aw, just do it😁. If it were me and I was making a master suite, I would make one of the adjoining rooms, the dressing area, and the master bath that would make it great.
Good morning from the drizzly SF Bay Area. Looking good getting rid of that nasty old bathroom. Have fun!
So glad you are removing the bath.. it's looking so much better already 😊
I'm really enjoying watching this renovation
Phil, I’m so glad it’s proving to be easier than you feared. It’s going to be so much more beautiful when you complete these renovations. It’s amazing how makeshift they did things in the 60’s,70’s, and 80’s. xx
*'60s, '70s and '80s.
Phil, you really made good progress today.
YAY!! For getting the tub out.
Cheers
It's been so nice to see you come back to life, Phil. I'm really looking forward to seeing the transformations that you create to these rooms. Love hearing the whoops and seeing the smiles. ❤
