      The Duomo Initiative - Learn to Trade What is your best strategy for forex? What time candles do you prefer or think is best if your in and out in one day?

    • @Duomoinitiative
      @Duomoinitiative  7 років тому +1

      I don't have a single best strategy, we believe in approaching trading as a skill rather than a strategy. So I guess you could say it's a range of strategies or approaches used depending on the context/situation - overall what we call a 'method'. If you stick with us for a while you'll soon start to pick up on it all, particularly from the weekly technical analysis videos starting again at the end of this week.
      In terms of best candles for intra-day, I predominantly use 5m with 15m and 1h supporting.

    Price move in fx market based on supply and demand but in the fx trading market we don't actually buy or sell. We just take the position buy or sell. We dont deliver those currencies. So how the price in ECN match in spot fx market? Can sb explain to me? Plsss.

    Nicky, if I decided to trade in 5 min time frame, how many more times frames and which ones should I analyse before? (15, 1hr...) and if traced lines and significant levels or trends in superior time frames, I also should do this in the 5 min time fram that I trade?

    • @Duomoinitiative
      @Duomoinitiative  7 років тому +1

      You should definitely analyse 5 mins and then I would look at 15 mins and 1 hour at the very least. You should also have an idea of what's going on in the wider picture (e.g. daily etc.)

    • @franf87
      @franf87 7 років тому

      Great thanks. But if I trade in the 5 min chart, I should draw trend lines and significant levels and support and resistance zones, in the 5 min chart or in the 15 min, or 1 hr chart?

    • @RandomGuy-hh4dk
      @RandomGuy-hh4dk 6 років тому

      resistance and support keeps on changing so you should analyse 5 min charts.But its a small time frame so you may look for 15 min.

    • @Hepta.Asteras
      @Hepta.Asteras 5 років тому

      In my experience, 5 minute charts used for detection of certain candle patterns can easily give false signals except for pairs that are very volatile. For example, GBP/JPY and US500 work pretty well with 5 minute charts. That combined with support and resistance levels at the one hour charts.

      The problem with Binary options is that the risk/reward is sh*t. You have so much more possibilities for a good risk /reward ratio in straight Forex. Study risk/reward and fully understand it, it's the key to success. Not win/loss ratio.

    No I think you are wrong about the Interest rate shift affecting the market...when interest rate is increased it means production will be slowed leading to a devaluation of the countries financial asset being that production is slow investors see the economy as week so demand reduces...

    • @therealnoodles7638
      @therealnoodles7638 5 років тому +1

      Higher interest rates mean higher interest being paid into whatever interest bearing asset you're holding right? It can look attractive to a foreign investor. They might buy the currency and invest in the domestic market which will make the currency appreciate.

  • @George_Beth
    @George_Beth 5 років тому

    But if the interest rates increase, then that causes the economy to decelerate, so that should bring the currency value down (since you mentioned that currencies generally follow the economy).. I am a bit confused :-|

    • @davideke6742
      @davideke6742 4 роки тому

      Not necessarily; a lot of economics is situational. So in a situation where you have an accelerating and expanding an economy, increasing the price of borrowing ahead of time to preemptively avoid inflationary fears will instill a lot of confidence in the nations economy and currency. This increased borrowing rate also means rich lenders (the people who move money into these markets for risk free returns on interest) have more incentive to invest in said currency and it’s outstanding debt.

    I still don't quite get it. Lets say the whole Forex consist of 100 people, if 60 people are buying, 40 people are selling. The price would go up correct? In another situation, there are 90 people buying, 10 people selling, this would make the price go up higher right? Does this mean 90% of the people made profit and 10% lose money? Does this mean 90% of the winner get money from the 10% loser?

    • @Duomoinitiative
      @Duomoinitiative  7 років тому +6

      Sorry, somehow only just noticed this comment (UA-cam comment system isn't great for channels).
      If we take market makers out of the picture for now (you will understand them later on). You need one party on each side of a transaction for it to take place. If there are 60 people buying and 40 people selling, it would depend on how much each side are buying or selling. If they are all dealing with 1 lot each, there can only be 40 transactions - 40 people are selling so only 40 can buy. In which case, demand is exceeding supply.
      In this situation you have to separate the transaction from the actual profit/loss. A transaction is just a transaction, there is no profit or loss there. The profit or loss will depend on what price the person selling had originally paid.

    • @MikeD-nu6uy
      @MikeD-nu6uy 6 років тому +1

      Jason Ding cant be 90 sellers and 10 buyers. Buyers and sellers are always equal just depends on the price they are willing to buy and sell at because it takes 2 to tango or a trade cant happen

    i wanted to ask how do forex brokers make money? I know BO brokers make money from losers? is this the case with forex?

    • @Duomoinitiative
      @Duomoinitiative  7 років тому

      There are mainly 2 models forex brokers use for making money. Typically the main way is to make money from the 'spread' (the difference between the buy price and sell price). This is how you want you broker to be making money. The second option is when the broker will b-book their clients trades. Since they know most traders lose money, they will be taking the opposite side of your trades. It's easy to avoid these sort of brokers though, just make sure you're transacting directly in the market. You want to make sure your broker is on your side, not against you.

    • @masudahmed6029
