Personally I took it as a sign of growth in his character, saving a life instead of (possibly) crippling someone and letting another die.
@BrowncoatGofAZ also ending the cycle of abuse. The Brotherhood of Steel (at least this chapter) seems to be perpetuating a cycle of violence. Thaddeus bullies Max because he was bullied. Knight Titus made Max clean his codpiece, and in the beginning, Max made Thad do the same. But instead of continuing that cycle and letting Thad die like Titus tried to do with Max, Max saves Thad. Max is a true knight--not just a coward hiding underneath some armor.

This show is beyond perfection. It was one of few video games that earned an adaptation and this one was crafted flawlessly. Kudos to the production for making this happen.

Agreed. Good adaptation, but needs some tweaking. Power armour should be a lot stronger than depicted in season 1. Became a bit of a joke tbh.
@@user-ds8rj2vc4v I think power armour is strong enough, after all, maximus squished someone's head with it and it helped a guy withstand a bear attack (the mutant's name is weird and i forgot it lol). The issue with this show is how small the wasteland feels. The main characters always bump into each other, which makes the world feel really small.

So what they said in the vault 4 experiment logs was that they tried to mix people with DNA of “radiation resistant” creatures, or something like that. So I took the gulpers to be the result of using axolotl dna.

Its like watching two players try to play Fallout 76. One just started the game, and the other is at a high level, but the gulper is much higher.

Hilariously this is the most iconic yet everyday chore in the wasteland.
Love how the Gulper looks so pissed off when Thaddeus shoots him. He like "You little s***! I'm gonna f*** you up!" LOL. Truly one of the best video game adaptations ever made.

I really thought at first for some reason that Maximus would only be able to get the upper part of Thaddeus' body with the intestines and all because he would be eaten by acid or something, although even Cooper said that gulpers take a long time to digest х)

I had to watch this scene again to understand how the gulper actually died. It would have made more sense that the squire had lost half of his body to this big monster. Kind of a weird scene.

@@harmzweyy5860 Maximus pulls the squire whose legs are inside the gulper. Therefore it would have made more sense that the squire was divided, with the legs remaining in the monster and the upper body torn from the rest of his body.
I think because his legs werent burnt from acid and that apparently they don’t digest stuff fast, and due to it’s weird finger tongues attaching to him, when Maximus pulled him out it pulled the tongue and inside of its mouth out with him

I swear, these two had to be written as children in the original script, because that's what Brotherhood Squires normally are. Everything they do and say make a LOT more sense if that's the case. I would not buy for an instant that these two are trained soldiers.
