In the middle of the twentieth century, people hide from nuclear attacks in huge bomb shelters, where they set up a semblance of civilization. After 219 years, Lucy, a resident of one of the bunkers, decides to go outside and gets acquainted with the Badlands, a brutal world where humans and mutated creatures fight for resources and survival.

That’s not a distant city, THATS FUCKING NEW VEGAS!
"Yippee yay, there'll be no wedding bells for today. Cause I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle (jingle, jangle)" 😄
HYYYYYYYPE
That’s a run down deserted new vegas
Is the postman coming?
Can someone help me out here I wanted to start a channel just like this but I heard that these channels don’t get monetized is it true 😢
The boy barely dodges the crazy robot got me rolling on bed

i'd like to see you dodge that robot

The zombie are not zombies, they are brain dead gouls
Feral gouls
@@rogerskitt1542 exactly
but now hear me out a zombie is a brain dead goul ...your not wrong but it just how you want to name a animated corps .. gouls are the undead their both alive an dead. The same as a zombie only difference is a person dies an becomes a zombie a person jst becomes a goul with no obvious sign to when the change started
@@MsfshangerclubleeN i think u shld see the fallout 4 loading screen, they clearly stated that the are not zombies they are brain dead gouls. To become a zombie a person have to die, and the virus reanimates him. And for feral gouls their brain dies because of high radiation exposure. But they are not dead
There is a big gap difference
zombies
1. Blow open a vault door? You mean one of those massive, super-secure gates? vault doors are typically described as extremely robust and designed to withstand nuclear blasts.
2. Fallout series has not typically depicted vaults as being interconnected in this way.
3. Outerworld? That's another game, it's called The Wasteland.
Besides that, good stuff.
Have only seen the first two episodes so far and not spoilering myself with the entire recap. But about your second point: You are right, it is not "typical" to have vaults that are connected like this. We have one example of two connected vaults with the case of vault 81. From the first two episodes, I presume that the experiment in this case is having two isolated societies devolop side by side, with the additional problem of genetic diversity, which forces them to exchange people from time to time.
I can only theorize what the experiment was or what the "justification" towards the dwellers for these parallel vaults was. But I assume the latter was "If we have two societies that have little contact, then for example a plague can only destroy one of them and the second is a failsafe to rebuild the other and later america".
As for the experiment, It could be one on the acceptance of arranged marriage due to genetic reasons. Or one about alieanation/integration effects of people that abandon their old life for a completely new society. Or many more.
In a sense, there is not really a "typical" Vault regardless. The only thing they all share is that it is a fallout shelter with the a (regionally a bit differing) vault tec interior design. I thought about mentioning that there is an overseer, but there is at least one vault with 2 overseers. I would not be surprised if there is one with none, too. Like an experiment on anarchy or direct democracy or something like that.
The connected vaults thing is probably part of the Vaults experiment
1- They didn't, the one scene where they "blow up" a vault door was when they blow up the passage between Vault 33 and 32 so the dwellers couldn't chase them.
2- Only Vault 31, 32 and 33 were interconnected due to the experiment being conducted in there. Every vault had their own gimmick to test and experiment on their dwellers, the experiment on the show's vaults was to create the perfect managers and leaders to establish a new civilization on the surface.
Vault 31 was full of management prospects from Vault-Tec and Vault 32 and 33 was their training grounds to prop up successors.
3- From their perspective, yes, the Wastes would be essentially a new planet, so Outerworld fits.
I mean in the series it was just the 3 vaults interconnected, and I think it was because they were mostly Vault tec employees.
It's called a VAULT, not a Shelter..
People unfamiliar with the story will understand shelter better.
“Universal Bracelet”
caretaker ....
So it's not a shelter?
aliens instead of raiders lmaoo
I just binge watched all 8 episodes on Prime yesterday. Well worth it! Btw, only this one faction wears power armor which is not cybernetic armour. Everyone else wears basically junk and old clothing.
There is no "cybernetic " in fallout..
It's based in a world where the microchip was never invented
@@benjaminjames9712 Institute synths are cybernetics.
There are transistors and that technology is basically perfected in the Fallout universe.
The Amor was only made for The Brotherhood anyway, the same as in the game. That's the faction you speak of, anyone who has really played the game know what you just explained.
I kinda wish I’d watched it because this recap was so good.
Looks good,
Ita a VAULT not shelter, and its a PIP Boy not a bracelet.
You know they deliberately change words to avoid copyright strikes and removal, right? Chill out. Nobody is forcing you to watch.
Noob explainer😂
they are not aliens just humans from the outside.
Which is used even now in the USA.
Great recap of Fallout tv show. I enjoyed it alot. Probably the best video game adaptation i've seen so far.
Do you think we are in the video game adaptations ERA now? Comics movies are over saturated and diluted from the 2010s.
It seems video game adaptations are getting great treatment now.
@@CashMoolah00 yeah i think games are the next medium hollywood will milk.
18:52 Lore-wise the BOS would be far more Educated about Vaults. Also a Night of Radiation going into the Power Armor isn't even enough to cause long term Cancer.
Not only the BoS,rumours about vaults experiments Go ALL over the POST nuclear america
I couldn’t get into Fallout until 3 came out. I got it on Xbox 360 and I’ve been playing ever since and I’m really digging the show so far
Have you played the new games at all too? Or just 3
If you have not already, definitly look up fallout new vegas. It has the game play of 3 together with the brilliant design and humor of fallout 1+2 (since it is the same dev-team).
even 3 was bad.
Fallout 3 goty edition is the way to go 👍 Vegas is worth a look too. 4 is meh
New Vegas is one of the best games ever made my friend. Perfect for the 360
Great recap but I would highly recommend to watch the show! It’s amazing
dang! this is a pretty neat plot - thanks for the recap :)
The inaccuracies in these videos are astonishing.
The Enclave is my favorite faction.
Hmm...you probably don't have a lot friends
This is AWESOME. FINALLY a good video game to TV show adaptation!

This is pretty good
This is amazing
yeah cause Amazon didnt want to make a show about China doing it lol
Right, in the game that's who did it lol
@@Marstruth i think in the games they never say who did it... in fo3 in megaton the bomb has that vault-tec logo on it... and since this show is canon and takes place in the universe as the games ... this means that Vault-tec or i guess not just vault-tec but a number of other companies did it.
there are a lot of hint that american did that to themself
@@Luckykohl_gaming in FO4 it's the Chinese... Watch the trailer, search "War never changes"

11:51 this part seems so random when a dog suddenly appears out of nowhere and decides to be a pet when they just finished fighting a sea beast, keeping a dead man’s head, and an overall stressful battle while trying to save an assistant
Because they narrated it as if it was a random dog. It's the same dog that accompanied the scientist and was already at the Gulper's lake, waiting for the head to return.

You lost me at "Universal bracelet"
In the games, the VAULTS are all different with one similarity: all are really a means of (extremely unethical) experimentation. In the television series, Barb Howard (Cooper's wife) says she worked hard to get them into "one of the good [vaults].' By "good," she could have meant that whatever the social experiment, the living conditions were good. However, she may have been pointing out a disparity in the quality of the shielding of the vaults. Vault 4's inhabitants show evidence of (possibly-radiation-induced) mutation, but there are several other possible explanations, including that the original inhabitants of Vault 4 purposely induced mutation, that some vaulters were taken in from the Wasteland, that vaulters come and go from the vault, and that there is probably interbreeding between populations. We never see post-apocalypse Barb, but Cooper believes that she and his daughter, Janey, are still alive. He reveals that he believes that Hank MacLean knows of their whereabouts. The supermanager experiment (Vaults 31-33) was a "good" setup (for Vault-Tec execs) and Hank knows its whereabouts. It's possible that Vault 31 is Barb's and potentially Janey's location, if alive. Since Janey was with Cooper when the bombs initially fell (on Los Angeles), it is hard to say how he would not know of her whereabouts, but there is 200+ years of missing story. Moving on to Lucy. The fact that her father played a critical role in the bombing of Shady Sands (New California Republic capital) after it had successfully risen after the initial global devastation, clearly shakes her core beliefs. The series highlights for me are the character arcs of Lucy and Maximus, and the fact that Vault 4, free of their Vault-Tec experimenters, have developed a culture that (like the NCR) helps others and carries out what Lucy was taught the mission of her vault was supposed to be.
Really compelling fallout story, wish it was a game
Haha it was based off the game series
@@sullya6967can tell you don't get jokes 😂😂😂
This must be really good im getting on it right away
The thing i dont understand is how didnt they know it was raiders on the other side? We learn that shelter 32 was destroyed long ago, yet the supervisor of vault 31 and 33 didnt know that raiders were there? While they were probably very aware of what happened in vault 32.
finish the show maybe
True plus everyone from vault 31 should have immediately known they were from the surface. Since they have knowledge of both vault 32 and 33, big plot hole.
Best TV show of the year
What a great series
Plot hole quick, how did he not know it was Maldiver?

Anyone wondering if it’s worth the watch YES I’ve binged all 8 episodes already and can definitely say I’m hooked, hoping they continue the franchise they’ve managed to capture core aspects of the game but still keep the series entertaining for you to wanna watch more, 100% recommend
Lemme just say titles kinda wrong ima correct that
Nuclear bombs fall 3 main characters arise 219 years later
I loved it
19:58 never played or watched, but I was just hit with this. Who’s to say this hasn’t actually happened in its own way. Doesn’t have to always be nukes but the idea that people went into hiding from a great cataclysm they stayed underground mainly while our history went on the surface. Just a thought. Who knows how many times this has or could have happened lost in the sands of time.
Think of those underground cities that turn up.

I practically only played Fallout 4 in VR and am currently watching the series.... in VR (Though just in movie-theatre mode), missing some of the immersion, but I love how well made the serie is. Great actors and very recognizable landscapes and cities.
It isn't lore was butchered. I'd recommend the older games.
Just finished watching and it was awesome. Amazon did such an incredible job with visuals and the details. I love the vintage yet futuristic look of the world before the bomb. Now I want to play fallout … lol can’t wait for the next season.
If only you knew. . .
If only we knew what
@@DoinkSmokers Unfortunately alot of people are ignoring that the show has basically nuked both literally and from lore wise, the west coast factions from NCR, Follower of the Apocalypse, West coast BoS and minor factions are no where to be seen making the west coast a devoid od civilisation as the east coast.
Plus major changes the the BoS even more so from FO4, the BoS has lost all sense of Brotherhood.
These now a "cure" for ghouls going feral (witch could have been a major story point).
Shaddy Sands has been nuked before the 2nd battle for Hoover Dam (witch alone has massive consequences for FO:NV) and the capital of the NCR gone its difficult seeing the NCR surviving. Don't get it confused that die hard fans like myself are mad this happened, where mad this happened off screen carelessly. If the show was about nuking shaddy sands in 2296 instead of the late 2270's then things would be different.
The show of itself is too cartoony and since the alot of "fans" started with FO4 or 76 its the only thene they are prepared to die on that hill, and worse will bring up special encounters/references as a "gotcha" move to misrepresente the FO franchise as being goofy an silly.
Power Armor is a joke in the show as it looks weightless as we see BoS knights falling over to small explosives, being dragged down by 3 normal humans and the worst one is "the ghoul" revealed this "weakness" in power armor (not sure if its just the T-60) that under the chest pieces (cast steel chest pieces fyi) that these a wield that can one shot power armor, but when he does shoot the BoS knight it looks like he shot him in the upper chest or shoulder, 2 of the most armoured spot on the armor.
