My capacitor must have been failing over time as I noticed reduced flow from returns and pool not staying clean. Motor finally refused to start, just a humming and then a click. Capacitor had a black burned area on the bottom. Got same specs capacitor off Amazon for $10. Flow from returns is the best it's been in years. I assume a failing capacitor reduces motor rpm before it fails for good.
