Im currently doing a pair with wood grips and charcoal bluing. In a wooden box as modern dueling pistols. They are for a friend. The frame melted on my first one, i have switched to a cerakoted frame now.
Dude if you have an etsy store you could definitely sell those grips if you continue to make them. I'd love a pair of wood grips for mine.
i bought a rossi brawler 45colt/410single shot pistol and testing it when i could or health issues don't hinder me.i shoot 45colt and 45acp acp in my brawler. i use metric nitrile o rings from harbor freight sizes 8x2mm and 8.8x1.9. Mm. i put o ring over bullet pushing to groove in front of case head to keep 45acp from falling down the barrel. shutting action compresssd around case. ejection wonderful and o rings reusable. i reload all my firearms but i personality if had to buy 45acp i would limit it to target ammunition 750- 800 fps keeping chamber pressures around 14,000psi to 15,000 psi like standerd 45colt. the testing I'm about to give is for educational purposes only not to be repeated in any firearms as serious bodly injuries or death could be possible. to protect my liability i don't reveal the powder or charges used in this limited test.. 45colt, 250gr hunters supply lrn-hp used. 870fps, 420ft/lb . 964fps, 516ft/ lb. 1034fps, 591ft/lb. 1094fps, 664ft/ lb . 1132fps, 771ft/ lb. 5 shot test completed. my settled load for this weight bullet 964 fps, 516ft/ lb. this by factory standards is a over load.estimating 17,000psi chamber pressure. do not use this test information as a guideline. to do so you are responsible for your choice of ammunition and I'm not responsible for any injuries or death it they occur. papa from the foothills of the blue ridge mountains wishing you well.😊

I was thinking about this for an ATV/ Ranch gun, but I settled on the Tuffy Survival, just preference, I'm not disappointed in my choice.
I have a question about that one, do you have to swap chokes out depending if you're shootin 410 or 45 colt? I was gonna buy one but my shop had one that only had one choke with it but they told me it was spose to have 2... is this true? Or were they just misinformed?
@@tylertapp131 If I remember correctly, the choke is to slow the spin of the shot. In my situation it is not needed. Others might use it different. But for me, I'M not shooting distance, mostly small Varmints. Hope my vague expanation was helpful.

If they would have made it double barrel with external hammers, that would have been best.
Good stuff, I got one of these when they first came out, when I first saw it, it instantly reminded me of the old comanche pistols that were made years ago. Same concept and caliber but were already discontinued when I found them. They remind me of the old mountain man trapper pistols in a since or last ditch pistols they used. Very versatile and rugged, the mountain men, had a large bore pistol that could be loaded with shot if needed in a pinch. The brawlers in my eyes are just a modern take on that but more versatile 45 colt shoots very well in these and are very accurate and I have to disagree with 410 performance. If you want good results use 410 pistol specific loads, the triple buck and others work very well out of mine out to about 20 yards or so depending on what you're tryin to do. But something else you can do is get adapters for these and you can shoot things like 22lr, 380acp, 9mm and probably even 38 special. Awesome little kayak gun, or simplistic woods gun, kinda like a modern mountain man trapper pistol. For the guy that's an avid outdoorsman that's just wantin to keep things simple, works well, wish we had something like this when I was growing up and spent most of my time in the backwoods with a single shot shotgun and a bowie knife lol.
Only has a max range of 12 yards with 410. Functions much better as longer range 45lc with a red dot. Have mine dead on at 35 yards.
TIP: get the picatinny rail anodized a different color (i got mine anodized in blue)! it makes the iron sights way less crowded and messy. Much easier target acquisition.
I am a bit, hmm, unorganized in the gun room. But I recall buying a big .45LC/.410 revolver at some point. Probably Taurus. Anyway, after I finish my current computer project, gun room is next.

Looks like it came out of the Firefly universe. I had no plans to buy a .410 pistol, but for $260, it seems like a nice way to round out a gun collection.

Just wanted to give you some constructive criticism: the intro with the music was way too long. I would keep that three to 5 seconds. You have to hook them within the first 10 to 15 seconds or else they will switch off. I lost interest pretty quick.

Hey i actually spent 45 minutes on the phone today contacting Rossi about the use of +p 45 and slugs and was glad i did. i first let them know i was disappointed that they would sale a modern gun with restrictions noted in the book. But not on the gun. how are used buyers supposed to no not to use slugs? I was assured by Rossi rep that the slug use had been addressed and it was cleared safe for all factory 410 loads including 3 in slugs and all tactical rounds, but they couldn't clear +p 45 simply because there is no standard proof testing +p pressures to go by. I was happy with my findings and the fact i was able to talk to someone with a little knowledge in there field
I make Four Winds too cheaply to ever pay triple digits for any gun.
