    I did it! I got it to open! 1. I was pushing PAST my cervix. 2. I was getting frustrated. So.... I trimmed my nails washed my hands got some lube for added comfort and just decided I was more or less discovering how it might fit inside me. Instead of being determined to make it work. What's the worst that can happen? I keep using pads?
    So I felt around the cup and was like.... oh wait THAT'S my cervix. I pinched the cup to hold the fold and pulled it out a little then let go. Lol and was actually confused for a minute as to why I couldn't grip it the same anymore. IT WAS OPEN!!
    Don't give up friends! Relax, make yourself as comfortable as possible. I strongly suggest trimming and filing your nails down so you can feel around the cup, and not have to worry about hurting your vaginal walls.

    Hi Saalt! 🤗 I just want to say this cup is a game changer! Since I stopped using pads and tampons that contains chemicals, I have not had one single ovarian cyst in the past year and a half that I switched to Saalt Cup. It’s amazing. My cramps have gotten a lot better too, though I suppose I’ll always have a bit of cramps during that time. But they aren’t debilitating anymore! And I 💕 how Saalt sends cups to women and girls in need! I will buying a few more of them soon so I always have one handy😂👍

    The last one helped! I hate it when I can’t get the cup to open. I hate it even more if I couldn’t use the cup cause of how comfy it is compared to pads.😅

      We're sorry to hear that you're struggling to get your cup open, Enit! How is it going for you now? We have some great tips we'd love to share! Wet your cup with warm/hot water (rather than cold), or better yet, a water-based lubricant to reduce friction and help your cup glide more easily. Insert your cup at an angle horizontally back (as if pointing toward your tailbone), to match the natural backward slant of your vaginal canal, and gently press on the vaginal wall away from the cup to make more space for it to open up completely. Feel free to reach out to us at sayhey@saalt.com any time if you have more questions!🌟🌟

    Touching too much to try the cup pop open...will these moves damage my vaginal wall? I am afraid they get sore 😭

    • @saaltco
      @saaltco  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Diana! Take it slow and if you get too sore, give your body a break. It takes some time to get used to new menstrual cups and we're always here to help! For additional tips and support, you can email us at sayhey@saalt.com. ❤

    I was having trouble getting it in until I tried the c fold. Still a pretty tight fit but for some reason mine is NOT opening. 😭😭😭 I really really want to use mine. I hate tampons and pads.

      Hi Kayla! We're sorry you're having trouble getting your cup to fully open. Here are a few tips that we hope can help:
      - Try flipping your fold to face the floor when inserting. The front of our vaginal canal runs along our pubic bone where the back runs along more soft tissue. Flipping your fold to open towards soft tissue can help your cup open more easily.
      - Insert your cup at an angle horizontally back (as if pointing toward your tailbone), to match the natural backward slant of your vaginal canal.
      - Also, inserting your cup past your pubic bone to where your vaginal canal opens up to more space can help your cup open up. The vagina is at its narrowest near the entrance and is slightly wider higher into the canal.
      We hope this helps!

      Oh my goodness I’m having the same experience. Maybe try the labia fold it’s been working (kind of) for me. I can get the cup all the way in but when it pops open it hurts really bad and I can’t figure out why

    • @saaltco
      @saaltco  2 роки тому +3

      @@allifearnow5965 If possible, you may try inserting a finger next to the fold so you can allow it to open slowly. This technique make take some time to master, but it can help prevent the cup from opening too quickly. :)

      Maybe our vaginal opening is narrow as compared to other women. This is my first day for trying menstrual cup but it hurts inserting it inside.
      Even though I'm married but still my vagina acts like im virgin 😅
