Temperatures in Thailand 12 years ago when this was filmed were nowhere near as ferocious as they are today. Every year they seem to be getting hotter and hotter by a few degrees.

Thailand is a tropical country, that means all year around if it isn't on rainy season, thevdefault temperature is as equal as non-tropical country's summer heat, or even more. ......You just don't expect a cooler like AC & fan to be enough to cool off anyone's body while doing a rough hustle & bustle, did you? Especially when the working environment is literally located in the traditional market during noon

When it is 21:40 and it's 26 degrees Celsius, everything is hot. I live in Cambodia and the last few weeks the highs have been in the 40s.

Lived in Thailand for a few years, and not eating meat in Thailand is not easy, they put fish paste or source in nearly everything

I will NEVER eat a roach. I’d rather eat pond scum to survive. That made me 🤢

The little bugs like cicadas fried are really nice. And unfilled wraps made with cricket flour--- good for you.

The Thai as a nation do indeed eat well. They have been a fussy eater for centuries and this is how their cuisine innovations in recipes advanced, adapted and well refined in taste that is so deliciously satisfying even during their hardest economical melt down in the country that gave us the Famous pad Thai.
It is very hard to see a Thai person who can just live their life on simple bread and butter, and the humongous varieties in their nature resources is the main cause for intensive food labor.
Though, the feast is medicine nutritiously itself with yin and yang and hot &cold, the flavors is complimentary fulfilling on the tastebuds, the beautiful appealing in representation = a worthwhile quality production in the culinary world. 😅😊❤.
