Big fan of the channel and especially with the addition of OPR! I haven't played lately but I believe the rule is you are only Shaken if you fail the morale test (and routed if also below half in melee), while if you pass it, your unit is still OK. Looking forward to more fun games/videos!
Love the video and the attitude in the game!!! Thanks for doing OPR - many of my group who had played 40k for years (or decades) did not want to get back into the codex race post covid - and have transitioned into OPR - the fact we can use all our old armies and lore in a more streamlined system - is amazing. While OPR HAS made new minis for some factions - and t hey are cool - they are not REQUIRED. I would say start mixing battle reports with some new OPR Models - but showing also how you can 100% use your existing GW collection. Do maybe Space marines vs. Saurians etc. thanks for making the great video.
Started OPR 2 1/2 years ago, and never looked back. Some of our group have been playing 40k since 1990. We still use a LOT of 40k figs and love the 40 lore.... we just play with better rules now...
@@russby3554 Yes, I know - watch him all the time. The point is - for THIS channel - which has a wide reach with existing GW players - for them to understand they have options - great options (OPR) for using the minis and lore they love and have invested thousands of dollars and hours in painting - they can still play with THOSE existing minis - in a game that besides having great rules (alternative activations for the win) - a game NOT designed to get you to buy more models. but to play with the them.
it is actually designed to be model agnostic - and the factions (most of them) are set up to mirror existing 40k - so 40k players can transition away from GW rules, but still use their favorite models and lore. (the robot legions in this video - are based on Necrons and support the necron models etc. the eternal dynasty was orginally conceived to be tau - but the OPR models were so popular it has kind of split off into it's own faction. With a new faction more closely aligned with tao models form and function). Besides being streamlined rules (and using alternative actions - which adds a ton of tactical depth) - the rules are free - and the game does not suffer from codex or model power creep as an incentive to sell you more models. Use what ever models you want - no need to shell out $35 for a new HQ guy, or stop using your old models etc. My friends and I are done with GK and their bloated rules and constant churn of models and codexes - we love OPR and it has tons of optional rules if you want to add in some of the GW complexity.
Just started playing OPR with my son! A fun and quick way of playing a Grimdark future without spending a years salary on rulebook (and a year of learning), before you need a full set of new rules 😂
Nice Battlereport, but you got the morale rules for melee wrong. If one side loses, it makes a morale test, if the test is passed nothing happens to the unit. You played it, that even when the test is passed, the unit is shaken, which is wrong. So the big Oni and the Bike could have acted normally. Only if you fail the morale, there are two options: - More than half the remaining wounds are remaining: unit is shaken - Less or equal half the wounds are remaining: unit is removed.
Page 10: To take a morale test, the affected unit must simply take one regular Quality test, and see what happens: • If the test is passed, nothing happens. • If the test is failed, and the unit still has over half or more of its starting size or tough value (for units with a single model), then the unit is Shaken. • If the test is failed, and the unit only has half or less of its starting size or tough value (for units with a single model), then the unit Routs.
A minor correction - Rending ignores Regenerate, it does not ignore Self Repair. Self Repair isn't as good, but does not go away. If you have both then you get to roll Regenerate AND Self Repair separately,
i would really like you guys use the free mission cards, it makes the game more interesting in every turn. For a YT Video the shared card pile might be the best, for tactical enjoyers the 18 Cards per player may be more fun.
Dang y'all, I don't normally get motion sick, but that camera work made me go lay down. Can you get a tripod or something? Great stuff otherwise, love the channel.
So glad to see OPR getting coverage from names as big as yours, please keep posting these battle reports if you can!
would love to see you guys use the advanced rules and missions. the extra actions and mission cards add a lot of fun
i second this, command points and relics too! base rules opr is for anyone to play but advanced rules really makes it fun for more veteran wargamers.
Third this. Do it! 😅
OPR, let's go!
That’s right !!!
Great bat rep! When you pass a quality test after losing combat, you are not shaken. Really gave the RL a huge advantage.
I think they were confusing fighting back and fatigue?
@@davethepak Yes, I think the Onis fought back and should have been fatigued when they charged the 4-legged mecha.
We did figure it out eventually :)

More OPR content! :D
Another awesome episode, fellas - I love the OPR content. More please!

The channel called Warboss Fitz does army reviews and has started to show the GW equivalent models to show people what they could use.

Love OPR and the Dynasty.
My favourite army is the Human Empire, just because of the look of the models.
Best miniatures company collaboration ever!!!
Great game. Loving the OPR content! I'd love to see some more missions, or alternate scoring options.
Love OPR! Keep it up MWG/Skari!
Just watching you guys i am locking forward to my next opr gamenight 🎉

Skari not playing DARK ELF RAIDERS? no way! Good game!
When we get some !
@@SkaredCast You have some! They're called Drukhari, OPR is designed to be played with Warhammer minis
More of this!
OPR ROCKS! Saved the hobby for me!
Great video! More of OPR please
OPR is realy cool system :D

I love one page rules, as it’s almost the cheat sheet that came with 3rd edition.
It is a fun game !

More OPR please! Would love to see more variety in factions and models. I'd subscribe to the vault for more OPR content. 😅
Psst psst, are the Duchies of Vinci going to be up on your shoppe anytime soon?
Love OPR!!!!!
Yes more opr !!!!
Can you guys provide the list for the Eternal Dynasty force? Looking to get into OPR and they look like a really fun army!
Email me at josh@miniwargaming.com and I'll send it off
Force Org is not that critical. The point algorithm is VERY robust and the basic army building rules tamp down on potential abuse.
YES OPR
Age of fantasy next time ;-)
Eternal Dynasty are just Tau but cooler
omg pls more opr
ALIEN HIVES NUMBER 1
Totally not Necron vs totally not Imperial Guard.
Less OPR and more Ravaged Star! Please for the love of god!
