- In this video we unbox some new accessories for the Land Rover Defender. These are made by a new company called "Plumb" from China. The parts are super expensive but are they worth the money ? Lets take a look !

Hi Simon that double iPhone charge I purchased a while back and is awesome the response time to connect and hold in place while doing the most hard core off-roading is fantastic well worth the money
Excellent - during our testing today we did find the charger did not like it when you have a case fitted to your phone - do you have a case on your phone ? but I agree excellent in all other respects....
@@L663 Hi Simon yes I have a plastic case fitted to my phone but if it is a metal phone could prove an issue Happy to take photos and or videos and send to you

Hi Rory - it works OK with a phone without a cover - it will not charge my phone with its protective cover fitted... but other than that we tested it today and its OK

Hello Simon, never say things are super expensive, you loose customer straight away. This Plumb things look nice but not one instructor sheet anywhere. Looking forward to seeing how everything looks in the next video. All the best.
I am not sure i can sell these for a profit... the rear storage boxes are $1800 the pair but they are well made.

Just love these unboxing videos Simon, your almost child-like enthusiasm is infectious. I do have concern about the copious amount of packaging, much of which looks as though it is not recyclable.
Love your new Defender 90 (great colour combinations), it is the model I would buy if I ever I decide to get rid of my 90 TD5. Seems such a shame to despoil your already well-appointed car with a load of Chinese "legoland".
Totally agree with you on the packaging - we have replaced all our internal packing now with non plastic materials. Of course our Defender will be fitted with a range of parts - some genuine parts - some our parts and some from others. We probably wont be stocking these items due to the crazy cost... but I do feel Plumb deserve some credit for the overall design and engineering of their products.
Will be ordering one of these chargers once they are on your website. I was wondering if you could make radio mount similar to the one you received on 3d printer? I have been quoted $450 for that radio mount which is a bit too much for what it is.
Yes we are thinking of making a switch panel.... as you say what we opened is actually a radio mount .... it was also a little heavy for my liking so 3D printing could be an option for this application..

Crazy price for relatively tiny amount of outside storage that won’t survive an hour parked in any American city. Can’t even think what I’d put in those little boxes other than a spare Merlot.
Not sure I like the fuel door, but theose rear lockable boxes look very interesting and I look forward to seeing the fitting video. Actually they would look good on the Stig as you can hide the external electric fittings inside the box so they don't show while travelling.
Evening John - yes the fuel cap is a mystery to me .... the side lockers are good and the fitting video is done..
Looks like the fuel filler thingy might be only for a petrol car as there doesn’t appear to be an fitting to go around the AdBlu filler

Hi Garrett - these are available on Alibaba from China... I could be a vendor but need to get a good price ! The rear storage lockers are $1800 !
The prices on Alibaba are a joke I can't see them selling that much at those prices, surprised you didn't go for the $600 water bottle. The mount for the sunroof holder is for a radio to go into.
We went for the smaller items by air freight ... Mrs Powerful was not happy with the pricing... but I know it was products you guys wanted to see so I had to buy them !

Thanks for finding these - these will help me as we fit these and video the process and comment on what we find as we fit them..
More than a high price, the thing that puts me off most aftermarket products is their obtrusive and garish logos on things. It seems that the Plumb accessories' logos have a gold protective tape over them which naturally one will remove, but even then the logos are far too big and obvious and most probably in that fake metal silver. A clean finish would be far better in my opinion as PowerfulUK Ltd in house products are (credit to you on that Simon!).
Interesting - in part I am happy when companies are happy to put their name to products - we use our HSX branding on many parts...the gold tape does come off to reveal some metal effect font.
The fuel flax looks as if it doesn’t have an adblue hole.

Right now you can find them on Alibaba - we are thinking about stocking some of them but check the price and let me know what you think !
Their roof rack kind of looked promising at first glance. Very low profile and cool looking, but on closer look, some poor design choices such as putting the adjuster knobs for the cross bars up on top of the bars, making them kind of useless for large bulky items or roof top tents. Would also be prohibitively expensive off alibaba like most things when you add in shipping. I still have yet to find one thing worth buying off that site. They seem to be focused on cool looking design and use of good quality materials but seem to be lacking in the practical utility and pricing department.
You raise some good points - I am not sure I can sell much of their product - but the more companies there are making parts for the Defender the more choice we as owners get so its a good thing !

Woohoo - keen on getting those pillar storage boxes myself, can we see what kind of items they can store, like a spray bottle for example (I use those on long trips to clean the windscreen). Will also be good to know if the wireless charger can accommodate the latest IPhone 14 Pro Max. 🤓🙏
I find there is quite a bit of wind noise from the lunch box on a 90, those storage pillars might be an alternative 👍
