HEY I'M BACK AFTER ONLY A MONTH AND A HALF, YAEH!
Season two of How-To War Thunder Air Forces begins with my discord server voting on this beast of a heavy-fighter, the F-82 Twin Mustang. And if you have joined there (or end up joining because of this video), you will already know what's coming next and you might get a chance to vote on the next set of episodes.
Also, I'm trying out a new-rendering method suggested to me by one of my discord members, in which the max resolution is bigger than the original footage, which in theory is supposed to bypass certain things with UA-cam, leave some comments if you think this is either better or worse than the old rendering preset I used. Also went back to using abit more saturation in the video output effects.

The Germans get a lot of credit for wacky innovative designs, but when I look at the twin Mustang I am surprised such a thing went into service.

Fun fact, the twin mustang only shares a few parts with the P-51 (less then 10) and was build almost completely from scratch outside of having it look like two mustangs

Basically some bastard in the USAAF decided to combine the armament of a P51 and a P47.

Nope. Both those planes used the M2 variant, which by late war got 768rpm. This thing has the M3 model, and accounting for the lesser accuracy of the following arrangement, I imagine that it’d be comparable to an entire finger four wing of F-86F Sabre’s all firing on a single target.

Step 3) Get guns on Target
Step 4) Erase your enemy from existence with your 12.7mm Laser.

Its nice once in a while to go ground pounding with the gun pod, so you can destroy light pillboxes using one set of guns at a time, so you have double the ammo.

The PBJs are much larger, have a lower top speed, are less maneuverable, worse at altitude, have the non-upgraded MGs, and climb slower. Of course the BR is 1 lower and they get bombs and defensive guns, but it's not a pure freedom machine like the F-82.

Exciting news! The F-82 is BACK in real life! Yesterday a restored XP-82 Twin Mustang prototype flew for the first time since 1949!
On Accident... apparently the pilot realized that he wasn't going to be able to slow down the aircraft during its FAA testing for high-speed taxi so he pushed it and flew for 5 minutes instead of risking a bad landing.
@@JonManProductions True, but it was a first flight nonetheless! Even though it was an accident, the plane is basically airworthy. Within a year, she'll start appearing at airshows, possibly at Oshkosh. Considering it is one of only five surviving F-82s, I'm pretty excited.

I setup three buttons for my guns. I had my main guns which I spammed like crazy until I ran out of ammo, and I had another button for my gunpod as my reserve. I had a third button setup that would fire both at once if I needed to yeet in a headon.
I followed what this video has told me and I haven't taken a L since. Mf freedom its amazing
How about Ta-152H-1/C-3 next time? Cause many people can't fly it properly, and it's one of most underrated plane ingame.

Willis 1945 Yes it was used as an all weather intercepted since no jet at that time could do that, it also had the first kill in Korea even though it was designed for WW2 escort.
