Many fans are unaware that when Chris (Dana Kimmell) took a tumble on the rocks, the actress genuinely tripped and hit her head on those rocks. Her whelping and clutching her face was not scripted but they left it in the movie due to its affect on the chase scene.
44:13 and thus the biggest link of this series' continuity has been formed cause every single movie makes sure to have that axe mark on the mask. It pops up even when the mask was technically destroyed
Jason jumping out of the lake in the first one, through the window in 2 and Pamela Voorhees in this one are all dream sequence. There's no supernatural in the first 5 movies.
Chuck the hippie was my favorite character in this movie. I always played him in the game too, where he was named Mitch Floyd. Also, yes, Calvin, Godzilla and Megalon were standing on the Twin Towers. It was the American poster for Godzilla vs Megalon, even though they never go to New York in that movie.
@tricko8000 fuck i don't remember now which one i prefer 😂😂 i just know there is old Tommy Jarvis Edit: YES! Fuck 😂😂😂😂 i forgot that V was the non-Jason Jason 😂😂😂 although i like it, but you were wright: VI is one of my favorites.
As a big fan of Friday the 13th franchise part 3 is so much fun. The 3D shots plus everybody walking into a goddamn barn 😂 And then the minute Jason puts his mask on he stops being a character that hides he just goes in the spotlight. Love it can't wait to see the other reactions to the later ones
Yep. He was from birth. Don't get for sure evidence of a mental disability. His mother attachment, her calling him her special boy/different than the other children, his intelligence still being childlike and mostly could be explained by the physical deformity, him drowning, and him living alone. All the moment we get of his child self are usually when it is supernatural and he is afraid, doesn't speak, or calls for his mother. Some of which looks like he actually had more social skill/speaking ability as a child than he does as an adult. But yeah, a mental disability can easily be the case from both, but the franchise fully admits he had a physical disability at birth. Sorry for talking so much. =\
Fun chapter. I’m partial to the next movie in the series. Significant step up in quality, Jason intensity, “character development”, and tension/suspense. Plus Tom Sevini back as special effects supervisor.
@BlindWave Remember, in the first film, Pamela said it was Jason's birthday when the movie took place. It just so happened to be Friday the 13th in the film, but Jason's birthday was written to be June 13, 1946, which was a Thursday. Sean S. Cunningham said he came up with the title just to play on the superstition that folks associate with the day. He just wanted to capitalize on their fear.
Keep in mind that Jason was a mentally disabled and deformed child when he almost drowned. He got lost in the woods for years. The crazy thing is that no one went looking for him, assuming he drowned, not supernatural.
Interesting note about Friday the 13th parts 2-4, they all take place over the same week. So, does he only kill on Friday the 13th? Nope, he'll extend the spree at least through Tuesday the 17th (this is a Psych joke, you get it or you don't).
My uncle lives where they filmed some of the locations in Jersey for the first movie, sometimes I pass them and I always get a smile from it, I was a massive horror and especially Friday the 13th fan as a kid, and maybe being from Jersey made me like it more idk but I have a soft spot for the series
@BlindWave the original ending to Friday the thirteen Part 3 is Chris the protagonist dying. Jason chops her head off but scrapped the idea. I'm assuming they needed Chris to survive thus Ali needed to pop up to help her out
Fun Fact there are 2 timelines. The Canon timeline established in the 4th movie is the movie take place in the year they're realest (conflicting with many character story's and backstory.) The second is the character timeline, based on the characters (this conflicts with a hand full of time a date is shown on screen.)
@@robythemythosman9392 It is NOT canon that the movies take place in the year of release. The makers were at least paying some attention to when what was supposed to happen because the script of Friday 8 is set in the year 1999, which is about when it would be. It also concerns some such hogwash about Jason coming back to get "the last class of the century."
My mom told me her mom took her to see this one in theaters when she was 13 it was 3D. She was terrified and decided to cancel anything that was camp related as she was growing up. 😂😂
and its because of shop owners like Harold, we now have seals, aluminium cover flaps on our juices and jars of peanuts, and those super sticky annoying round pieces of tape on our boxed donuts. to avoid extra flavoring from those who forget to wipe after taking a number 2.
If they hadn't needed such strong lighting for the 3D, they could maybe have had her just bump into Loco's body hanging from the tree and then realize what it was rather than it "coincidentally" falling at that moment.
In regards to maybe changing the pace. Maybe put it in some polls a couple times in between now and the next Friday the 13th and if it wins it wins, and if it doesn't then we still have the Friday the 13th date to fall back on. Same with after the next Friday the 13th date.
Eric and Melanie definitely mixed up Jason with Michael Myers in the beginning 😂. The latter is the one whose body disappeared There actually is a Saturday the 14th movie! It’s a spoof, but of classic 30s and 40s horrror movies, not these. I wanna say one of the novelizations reveals the missing part of Chis’s first encounter with Jason. She regained consciousness and managed to get away from him and actually ran into Ralph. Jason’s face is just a deformity since birth
I think I still have my 3D glasses from this movie with the ticket stub. I used to keep all the ticket stubs and stuff as a kid. Alas, someone threw a bunch of my stuff out in my teens and the rest is in storage, so I don't know for sure.
Jason has hydrocephalus and Mongolism. His face was deformed since birth essentially. During the time between movies he hunts and eats any animal he comes across(dogs). Later he becomes undead or a deadite after being resurrected leading to his unusual strength and near invulnerability.
I found it inconsistent with his strength lol 😂… he was able to pick Rick up like it was nothing and taking himself off the noose but somehow Jason was struggling to pick her up when she went through the window lol 😂
It's great watching them have fun with the silliness of the movie while also enjoying the tenser, darker moments. Friday the 13th might be whacky, but it's just the right kind of whacky....right up until the porno one. That one is just...hrn. We don't talk about that one.

The 2009 movie actually answers a lot of Eric’s questions
Reebot Jason is probably the most terrifying version of him
The most terrifying and darkest tone version of him‼️
based on the fact that they only react to these movies on a friday the 13th, we're not getting that reaction till 2028 😂
God, I loved the 2009 reboot.
This is my favorite of the franchise. So glad you guys decided to keep watching these after spooky season!
I guess they only do them literally on Friday the 13th! So the next one will be next June

I would say this one or the forth is where it goes supernatural. Otherwise from the barn on can't be explained.
Spoiler: Jason was just a mutant then after his resurrection Jason was turned into a deadite.

Yes, Eric. In the early 80s the horror genre did 3D movies for the Part 3's. Friday the 13th, Amittyville Horror, Jaws 3.
Not Rick wearing Mrs. Voorhees' sweater 😂😂
Jason is kind of like a Pokemon. He evolves from time to time. This is his 2nd phase. His next one comes in part 6. Then again in part 10.
Keep watching these on a mire regular basis, I've enjoyed all the reactions so far so well definitely watch
I think Jason looks the way he does due to a birth deformity. I think he was originally both mentally and physically ill, and that's why he drowned.
