I’ve been trying to learn a bit more about video making and improve my skills, things like exposure and colour. It might take me a bit of time to get it right, but I hope you will notice an improvement in future videos 😊 Thank you as always for watching and for your feedback! 🙏
Beautiful film making and story telling as usual. If you would like any feedback ........ this video was noticeably underexposed. Also, quite desaturated - but that's a perfectly valid stylistic choice. Eventually, a lapel mic could greatly improve the sound recording when speaking to camera but even the tiny ones are a visual intrusion so you might want to avoid that.
@@HowardRice Thank you so much! Ah, that is good to know, I am trying to film in LOG format now and I read that if you over expose you lose colour information, so I probably did under expose this video 😣but it is all a learning process and I am really grateful for constructive feedback! I do need a better camera and mic and I'm saving up, but for now trying to get more out of what i've got! Thank you again for your support 🙏
Ah! That explains the look. I'm just an amateur when it comes to video but as a profession I'm a garden photographer and always shoot in RAW. Straight out of the camera images look flat and lifeless but they provide massive scope to be adjusted after you've taken them and get them looking exactly how you want them to with no loss of detail in the highlights or shadows. I had to watch a UA-cam tutorial on LOG for video and learned that the idea is similar. So it all boils down to how you process the footage after you've taken it. Sorry if I'm covering what you already know - but at least I've learned something!@@Nelferch
@@HowardRice Oh wow, your photography sounds interesting! Yes LOG is supposed to give you more control - you have to know how to use it though, I don't yet!😆 I have surrendered to the learning process though, I know it's the only way to improve!
I'm ábsolutely in love with your videos, the farm, the old equipment, tons of wood that is around - your style, skills, what you've done with the place! This whiff of a girl with building skills, nimble fingers, brave as bull, not scared to scale tall ladders, farm gates and trees! Skilled with building equipment ánd producing fine needlework, whimsical art and wholesome baking and canned goods! And I am as jealous as sin (obviously in a good way) of where you are, what you create and have achieved! Soooo looking forward to future episodes! Congratulations and sending tripple strength for the future! What an inspiration you are! You're doing what I want to do! Keep going for the world to see and also be inspired!
