- Hey guys! Devin here... been a few weeks since the Z2 album was delivered, and we've been getting everything ready for the upcoming tours and the release of the records. As I've mentioned, Z2 is an experiment for me in trying different mediums to illustrate a concept, and as such...I'm really excited to present to you the new Ziltoid website, and the first of three ZTV episodes leading up to the album release! The crowdfunding campaign has allowed me to actualize Ziltoid and its music in ways I'd always hoped for, and the idea with the three web episodes is to set up the concept of the album. This first one is less over the top than it gets by episode three, but it needs to establish the whole story before it gets more absurd. It is a great pleasure to be able to do this, and was an awesome experience (other than having to explain to management and family why I spent so much money on puppets =)

I love the planet smasher, he would make an awesome kids toy too, especially the way he lights up. Had the privilege of seeing the DTP play Dublin a few times, you guys are awesome! back with vengeance... or rather another thought. besides the CGI, I love how simple the props are compared to Ziltoid and the Planet Smasher. The googly eyes on the plants, and the flat (implying not so rendered) drawing of Ziltoid's family, it feels like a Glove and Boots production or even a Muppet short...
except of course Ziltoid and Herman are real; everyone knows that

I've been sending this to my staff over the last half decade or so. Reference material. I want Ziltoid to be an actual character if at all possible in an interactive D&D inspired and blessed game. Or a character based similar.

It is from the album "Deconstruction" and the song is called "The Mighty Masturbator". That song itself is like 15 minutes long but amazing from start to finish...the part used in the video here is about halfway through the song. He isn't the boss currently. Z2 is kind of a prequel to the first story. Dev mentioned something along those lines on twitter. Hope that helps :)
As far as I've understood, Ziltoid is an information-gathering subordinate to the larger ziltoidian collective (the voice in the machine).
Because he was ordered by his hierachy to go investigate earth. He's not the highest ranking Ziltoidian officer
