Everyone complians how its not The Dark Pool enough.
But this absolutely fucks.
I think the thing for me personally it The Dark Pool is a top 10 album of all time for me, and while this is good, it doesn't really come close for me.
People being upset that each album sounds different is so wild to me. Variety is 1000000x better than the same old thing rinsed and repeated. Even if some things fail (which they havent so far for Thornhill) it can be the difference between a good band and a decent band.
Glad they followed on from songs like Raw, Arkangel & Casanova, they were the clear picks from Heroine.
I think you both nailed it: sexy, sleazy rock vibes with a real Muse feel.
Thornhill has become like the modern silverchair and I'm all for it

Mate once you appreciate the different directions they head in knowing it’s not dark pool they’re just fucking incredible on all fronts. Listened to everyday for 3 years now I reckon. Amazing band

Ever since they covered Supermassive Black Hole I can't unhear the Muse influence, which idk if that means they've started to actually sound more like them or if I'm just hearing it now.
I leave my house in one direction to avoid a particular turn and come back a different way that's more direct.
I take backroads to and from work, it's just easier than taking the main road and most people are idiots on the road, just like to be cautious when I'm driving!

Yes thank you I’ve been requesting this for weeks it’s a good song from thornhill also are you guys going to see them in Sydney on October 28th with bloom, holding absence and thousand below y’all should do an interview with bloom, thousand below, holding absence and thornhill please also can you guys please react to Christian rock band RED surrogates from their new album rated R pretty please boys it came out last month anyway it’s a 3/5 from thornhill not quite their best song ironically I was listening to arkangel today and I saw the thumbnail 😂 pop up while I was waiting on the campus bus. One more thing rouge josh didn’t like this song.
I saw them last night in Bris and all of them were amazing. Thornhill in particular, just wow.
Nothing but respect for Thornhill experimenting and doing what they want to do, but I have to be honest and say that it's not for me, I didn't enjoy the last album and this is a very similar feel to that record.
I wish I could get into this new sound, but I just can't. Maybe I need more time with it; perhaps if they never made The Dark Pool, it would be easier to get into.
Thornhill with the ultimate bait and switch.
Hate to use a cliche but the old stuff is better.
