We are a private farm here in Germany, I am a vet myself, and we are doing exactly the SAME HERE - saving horses, making them look like a "real, good and fed animal again" and - finally - placing them with new, formerly tested and certified owners. THIS vid reminds me of one case we had around Christmas 2011....just in the next village, neighbours found a barn full of Shetland ponies, all so very, very thin and all of them with bacterial scours. The barn itself was horror, no hay, no straw -nothing but a floor full of scours to wade through. It was horrible...thank you for doing the same work in the UK, it is SO indispensable! I'd take one of your Highland-like Ponies myself, but it's sad this is not possible because they have to stay on the island. Anyway, keep on doing this great work - same as we do!

I watch these videos again and again because I get such a kick out of seeing what the horses look like after they have been cared for by World Horse Welfare. It makes me feel all warm inside to see the INCREDIBLE work these people do. The videos also inspire me to one day volunteer or work with rescue animals. Thank you for your heart-warming and inspirational videos and for the futures you give this wonderful animals
just a story: so the other day I was driving past a paddock and you could see a giant herd of beautiful well fed ponies, they weren't clean but that was expected when they are turned out in the paddock they looked like the most happiest ponies. And then this guy comes out on a quad with big bales of hay to give to them he separates the bale for them and they all ate like a family there was no arguing or anything among them I noticed they would all rotate from bale to bale evenly. It was a fun sight!
I wish a horse for so long because i really love horses and I would NEVER treat them like that. And they got three horses and they treat them so bad...Its just sad
"Her dietary requirements were not being met." No sh*t Sherlock! Not getting at you, but that is the most radical piece of understatement I've heard in a long time. Thank you for doing this work
This is just one reason I love my barn we may show our horses but ALL of our horse go out EVERY SINGLE day with plenty of fresh grass and lots of hay and lots of love and of course lots of cookies

Wow, when fully recovered they were so beautiful! it's such a shame that some people can't keep horses responsibly. it's horrible that the little grey had to go but thank god the others made a full recovery! I'm hoping to get a horse within the next year & i really want to find out about investing in a rescue pony/horse so they can spend the rest of their life in a save & loving environment, getting all the care they deserve! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I’m so sad the wee grey one had to be put down I remember a horse My mother had growing up silky was her name she sadly got mouth cancer and had to be put down! :(

I cannot possibly understand why anyone would let the conditions get as bad as they did. I'm so soft hearted they would have been living in my house before they had gotten to the stage they had. Strange.
These videos create crazy feelings... First overwhelming sadness, anger, feeling of powerlessness... And if a horse survives comes tears of joy, relief, gratitude for the people who are doing this work...

It never ceases to amaze me what people can do to animals.. I love seeing the ends of these videos though because it shows me some of the greater things people are capable of doing for these animals :) There are the few that don't make it (may they rest in peace) but the ones who pull through always look ten times better in the end.

What a complete change! Dark emaciated Horses to clean Full of life "Running Happy" to be a horse again. What a change Great Job! I Just found this website and founding that a lot of these comments are more than one, two, 5 years old! And to think that if a car went into a ditch, and farm with horses were nearby Those horse could pull him out with no problem and send him on his way. To think they are kept this way.
How awful who would do this to such beautiful creatures I’m an equestrian and would never dream of doing that but I’m happy that they have now got a super home for life 😃

The grey and the bay would make excellent show ponies. The black looks like an excellent hunter / pleasure horse type. Hope for the very best for these guys :)

People who are capable of this sort of cruelty should lose their status as "people". They're vicious monsters, and should be put down.
