I have this exact freaking problem and I appreciate this tip on measuring and stepping back. Sometimes I get too caught up in wanting to get a cardio workout on the bag and before I know it my feet are way too happy and I start smothering my cross. Basically I can tell at that moment that if I tried that ish in an actual fight that I would get my butt floored for walking into the front door.
Great breakdown, and it can honestly happen to everyone that’s why I wanted to put this out there. I have to catch myself doing that too. It’s not bad to practice inside straights, but you don’t want to get into a habit of smothering.
I just found your 1000 pushups a day in 30mins...bravo 👏...im tired of reading others say muscle soreness is bad blah blah blah...doing 500 a day here and it has destroyed my gym workout program. Take a day off 🤣...my day off is 500 pushups...the pump stays with me all day!!!!!
Make you’re still controlling your punches. And maybe test your range slowly before working your way up. You have to give yourself time to develop “boxing muscles”

16oz gloves. I like the Rdx gloves but nothing wrong with the ringside apex gloves either. Both good pairs.
