The small track was started because insurance would not insure the big track but changed their tune. I think there will be a good crowd, but agree car count may not be much. I’ll be passing it about 6AM tomorrow! Country Roads take me home!!
Half miles a just hard. It’s hard to keep good racing, they get strung out and single file. Cherokee was an awesome half mile. Turn 1&2 was wicked. Was glad I got to see racing on it before they changed it.
WVMS is 5/8 mile, and having seen both tracks in person it wouldn’t surprise me if WVMS was measured on the inside and Pennsboro on the outside because WVMS looks way bigger!
West Virginia Speedway reopened n closed up again due to low car/fan attendance. Back when Pennsboro was good was years ago. Times change n today’s fans have more options. My local tracks Hagerstown, Md n Winchester, Va don’t have Super Lates but a handful of times a year anymore and I’m guessing the pit gate makes them money? The grandstands afterwards on videos looks like a ghost town.
I went to Pennsboro and watched a big race, it was a good race to watch. People was all over the hillside.

Cherokee half mile track was some of the best racing there was during its time
I'm about 15 minutes away from the track. I hope it happens but I've been hearing this since 2017.
Track in the infield is go kart track for kids and adults
