Thank you so much. I am in a college course STATS 146 online class, I watch your videos before I watch my professor's. If I do not nothing makes sense to me. I appreciate how you explain these mathematical procedures. This coming from someone who has not been in school for over 20yrs! until I found your channel I was LOST!
Though this is from 5 years ago, it is by far the best I have seen. AND it helped me soooo much to do my H.W. 100% score !! Many of the others were too confusing.
Omg literally every video you make is a life saver!!!! You should be a teacher.. I'm taking online statistics....because of covid.... and we have no teacher interaction at all. We basically have to teach all this on our own... and if it wast for you I don't know how I would survive this course.
I am a teacher and have been for 18+ years. I have things nicely organized on my website: "MathandStatsHelp - Math and Stats Video Tutorials" mathandstatshelp.com It's free to use. I'm glad you find the videos helpful!
@@MathandStatsHelp I was wandering if you have made a video on how to find critical value of chi-squared (X^2) by hand or/and by calculator? I have seen so many videos and they all confuse me even more than I already am. You are the only one that actually explains it in a way that's comprehensive...
@@MathandStatsHelp finding the critical value of chi-squared distribution for right and left tail with degree of freedom.(finding it on the TI-84CE) Its what its needed to construct a confidence interval estimate of a population standard deviation or variance. I think I have figured it out but not exactly sure. If you could do a video explain it better that would be so great. Thank you
Thank you for all the time you put into these videos they are so helpful. Sometimes one teaching method doesn’t work and having these is helping me understand it way better!
Does your regular Ti-84 Plus CE have the "LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT" Tail options under the Inverse Norm function, or is this only an option available on the Ti-84 Plus CE EMULATOR you are using in this video?
What if the area shaded does not fall evenly like that? For example, what if the area all falls to the right of the mean? Those two outer areas would not be equal?
Can there be a case in which for finding the middle area, that the outer areas of the z-scores are not equal? Because you did 86% in the direct middle, therefore the outer two areas had to be identical, what if they're not though, like left z-score area is bigger/smaller than right z-score area
Typically, they won't give the area and want you to find the z-scores for uncentered data. It could happen yes, but generally speaking when they ask you to find -z and z they want it centered. It is preparing you for confidence intervals and hypothesis tests to find critical values.
First convert the percentage to a decimal. For example, 25% would be 0.25. You convert by dividing by 100. Depending on your calculator, if it allows the Left, Center, Right options, then put the area as 0.25 and select Right. If it doesn't have those options, you need the area to the left of the Z-score. Do 1- area to the right to find the area to the left.
Please make a separate video for the older calculators because it just confuses those of use that have the ti-84 plus CE and it just is distracting to hear all the exceptions or how to’s
@@dulcevega5004 Did you make sure to convert the area to a decimal? The area has to be between 0 and 1. You might also have something in the background causing issues. Sometimes, I find if students clear their RAM, it helps with other issues. It's hard to help without seeing the issue. To clear the RAM hit 2nd followed by + choose option 7 then 1 then 2.

Your videos have gotten me through my probability and statistics course. They're also the reason I believe in angels now. THANK YOU!
I'm glad to hear they helped you so much!
You have saved my life. This is so great!!!!
Thank you for this video! Very helpful in solving my homework questions and way better explanation than my teacher!

I don't have one yet, but can try to make one this week. If you could give me a little more info of what you need that would help

You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you so much, I can now use my calculator to do left, center, and right!

You're welcome! I'm glad they are helping you.
This was so helpful! Definitely much more quicker than using the f(z) formula
Thank you so much!! i was stuck on a problem for like 3 hours this video helped me solve it in less then 1 minute. Thank you
You are a life saver, I knew my calculator would be used, thank you so much
Saving lives 5 years later, thank you 🙇♂️

thank you so much! every single other video has been so confusing! You're a life saver :)))
This is so so helpful! I love this channel; this is such a great resource
thanks so much, all the other videos did not answer my question but this one made perfect sense! :)))
THANK YOU- you’ve saved me ten hours of mental abuse 🙏
You're welcome.
Once again thanks for your help. God blessings on your life.
You're welcome. Glad I can help you through your studies!

Some of my students have the option on their color edition, and some do not. You can try to update the operating system on the TI website.
I’m not joking , you literally saved my grade
That's awesome! Glad it helped!
Thanks a lot!

I am trying to meet the needs of my students who all have different calculators.
Thanks so much :)
Sorry but can I ask that my calculator is missing the option LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT. How can I fix this ? Thak you so much
Most calculators do not have the option. You could try updating it at the TI site with a USB cable.
Can I send you a math problem to help me with? I’m having trouble entering it in calc
Yes, you can. I will try to help you with it.
Math and Stats Help where to send it to?
Math and Stats Help thank you I just sent it
It never came through to me.
Math and Stats Help it’s a large attachment. I’m trying to send it as a smaller attachment. It came back as failed to deliver
New to your channel
does it work on IT 83?
Yes, it works on TI-83. You just won't get the choice of left, center, right.
thanks!
I have the same calculator and did everything the same but I got an error. Help…
Did you use the subtract button instead of the negative button? That's a common error
@@MathandStatsHelp No, all my numbers are positive and I still get an error. Thank you for your help in advance!
