Correction - Tipu and Hyder Ali did not stay in that palace, they stayed in another stone made palace in Srirangapattana. Even after the defeat in 1761, Wodeyars stayed in their palace only. After Tipu killed by British in Anglo Mysore War 1799, Wodeyars ruled until independence with the alligence to British and built this palace in 1897 and completed in 1912 after the old palace got burnt in fire accident. So for the whole years of Mysore palace, it always belonged to Wodeyars.

But what this comment mentioned is about culture, food and language which changes every 100-200 kms when you travel across India. Even in same state there could be multiple languages and dialects. For example people think north India is all Hindi speaking states. But the reality is hindi is spoken in major cities and towns. Every state has its own local language and culture preserved.

Hyder Ali & Tippu were Army Generals under Wodeyar but started acting independently. Their capital was Srirangapatna, a river island on Cauvery River. It’s on Mysore Bangalore highway. British were settled in Bangalore or Bengaluru as it’s called now. PS: It’s my hometown but now I’m settled in Bengaluru.

Mysore Palace, was always the residence of the Wadiyar dynasty. Tipu Sultan and Haidar Ali ruled from Srirangapatanam. The majority of wood work in the Mysore palace is on sandalwood. Wall paintings which have been shown in the video are mostly depicting the famous Dashahara procession of Mysore.

Yes brother he is little confused here.. There is another palace which belong to tippu in near town of Mysore.. It is constructed in 1900 AD but tippu died in 1799.it was a confusion.

Tipu Sultan has a separate Palace at Sri Rangapattanam which is about 30 Kms from Mysore. It is also well preserved along with his tomb. Govt India maintains every historical place.

The real name of Mysore palace is Amba Vilas Palace. It is still under control of the Wodayar Royal family. The 10 day dasara festival is a grand festival in mysore in which the palace will be illuminated and the current Raja will be staying in the palace. Happy that you showed Muslims in Burkha happily walking through the streets and well maintained mosques..

Correction. this palace was built by Wodeyar dynasty, not tipu nor tipu ever lived here. Tipu was defeated & died in year 1799 & this palace was constructed frm year 1897 to 1912 by wodeyar dynasty There are also other palaces , colleges built by wodeyar king. Near by there a hydel power plant & brindavan gardens, water falls etc.... ,.,

This palace was not a part of Tippu sultan.. There is another palace in Shrirangapattana a town near Mysore there we have tippu palace.. This is exclusively Odeyar palace.. Hope you visit tippu palace as well. Tippu died in 1799 this palace construction was in 1900+
Just a correction - Mysore Queen was the sovereign and Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan were never really De-Jure Kings. They both were de-facto rulers though and Srirangapatnam (some 10km from Mysore) was their capital. Neither Hyder Ali or Tipu Sultan ever lived in Mysore Palace.

Abrar is in South India and unfortunately he missed the best of the Indian architecture which Madurai Temples. They r just marvelous. Hope you will visit to such temples. When u r in Maharashtra please visit Kailash Temple near Aurangabad. Even scientist are not able to tell how ancient Indian made such mammoth temple just by cutting the stone.

Correction - Tipu and Hyder Ali did not stay in that palace, they stayed in another stone made palace in Srirangapattana. Even after the defeat in 1761, Wodeyars stayed in their palace only. After Tipu killed by British in Anglo Mysore War 1799, Wodeyars ruled until independence with the alligence to British and built this palace in 1897 and completed in 1912 after the old palace got burnt in fire accident. So for the whole years of Mysore palace, it always belonged to Wodeyars.

But what this comment mentioned is about culture, food and language which changes every 100-200 kms when you travel across India. Even in same state there could be multiple languages and dialects. For example people think north India is all Hindi speaking states. But the reality is hindi is spoken in major cities and towns. Every state has its own local language and culture preserved.

2. Hyder Ali, Tippu Sultan & British never occupied Mysore Palace. Wodeyar family were never over thrown. Hyder Ali & Tippu were Army Generals under Wodeyar but started acting independently. Their capital was Srirangapatna, a river island on Cauvery River. It’s on Mysore Bangalore highway. British were settled in Bangalore or Bengaluru as it’s called now.

Mysore Palace, was always the residence of the Wadiyar dynasty. Tipu Sultan and Haidar Ali ruled from Srirangapatanam. The majority of wood work in the Mysore palace is on sandalwood. Wall paintings which have been shown in the video are mostly depicting the famous Dashahara procession of Mysore.

Tippu Sultan is not connected to Mysore, he was in Sri Rangapattana. 30 miles away from mysore towards Bangalore.
It gives me goosebumps to see how well preserved this palace is , I'm glad it's not in Pakistan otherwise it would be in the worst conditions. India has really kept it's history Alive , and who stayed in place wadayas or tipu sultan etc doesn't matter !!
Yes brother he is little confused here.. There is another palace which belong to tippu in near town of Mysore.. It is constructed in 1900 AD but tippu died in 1799.it was a confusion.

Tipu Sultan has a separate Palace at Sri Rangapattanam which is about 30 Kms from Mysore. It is also well preserved along with his tomb. Govt India maintains every historical place.

The real name of Mysore palace is Amba Vilas Palace. It is still under control of the Wodayar Royal family. The 10 day dasara festival is a grand festival in mysore in which the palace will be illuminated and the current Raja will be staying in the palace. Happy that you showed Muslims in Burkha happily walking through the streets and well maintained mosques..

Correction. this palace was built by Wodeyar dynasty, not tipu nor tipu ever lived here. Tipu was defeated & died in year 1799 & this palace was constructed frm year 1897 to 1912 by wodeyar dynasty

This palace was not a part of Tippu sultan.. There is another palace in Shrirangapattana a town near Mysore there we have tippu palace.. This is exclusively Odeyar palace.. Hope you visit tippu palace as well.

Just a correction - Mysore Queen was the sovereign and Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan were never really De-Jure Kings. They both were de-facto rulers though and Srirangapatnam (some 10km from Mysore) was their capital. Neither Hyder Ali or Tipu Sultan ever lived in Mysore Palace.

Abrar is in South India and unfortunately he missed the best of the Indian architecture which Madurai Temples. They r just marvelous. Hope you will visit to such temples. When u r in Maharashtra please visit Kailash Temple near Aurangabad. Even scientist are not able to tell how ancient Indian made such mammoth temple just by cutting the stone.

That's is Satyamangalam Mountain Forest Road, which was infamous for many years due to dreaded slain Bandit-Veerappan. After STF Special Force Police Team encountered Veerappan then this route became one of the most scenic route for travelers who are travelling to Mysore City in Karnataka State from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu State.
At Gundulpet road diverges. One goes to Kerala, the other to Ooty. He had to take a longer detour if he went via Ooty
