      I wouldn't go that far. Like it or not Wumbo is a big reason why a lot of us got into the game in the first place, myself included.
      I've talked to him a couple of times and he's mostly pretty chill, even if he doesn't talk much.
      You're allowed to have your own opinion on the guy and his content and gameplay. If he wants to focus on winning by using a pretty over centralizing strategy, he can, but you don't have to respect it.
      I just don't want any hate to be sent his way, that's all.
      That said, I do wish he would vary up his content a bit on both YT and his streams. IMO there's a lot of unused potential for Tetris content for a Tetris player of his Calibre.

      @@SchoellScrub I remember when he used to do those challenges for Tetris 99 when someone donated on his stream. I haven’t looked through his channel in a while but whenever I get a video recommendation they always seem to be just “Wumbo vs other top player” which can be cool but honestly they all seem like the same to me, 2 people playing ungoldly fast and you can’t follow them so you’re just waiting for someone to misdrop and the games over (if you’re observant you might be able to catch the misdrop on your first watch)

      - 4-Wide is nerfed by 2 lines
      - In Puyo Vs Tetris, Puyo has a bonus buff to power chains
      - The game is also better balanced for Mixed Doubles Puyo + Tetris vs Puyo + Tetris
      In Swap and Fusion the netcode in PPT1 works much better.

    Very nicely made, Schoell!
    The only criticism I have is the bios and text go by a little bit too quickly for how much words are on them.
    even if you're a speed reader like me you can't really get all of it without pausing and going back. maybe try to make them last a little bit longer?
    Great video all around though, looking forward to the next one ❤

    • @SchoellScrub
      @SchoellScrub  Рік тому +15

      Thank you thank you and the criticism is always appreciated!
      I do think it is something I could have done better here. My explanations were probably a bit too obtuse here, which could have helped a lot. My dilemma with the edits here is that I didn’t want to break the pace of the actual match often to convey the information and I didn’t want the text boxes to get in the way of important moments of gameplay.
      If I ever do another video of this style trying to be mostly focussed on Gameplay but also trying to be informative, maybe I’ll switch the way how I edit things here.
      Maybe using less zoom ins and cutting the focus away from some moments to allow for more time, or I could infrequently use the pause thing I did near the end to thoroughly explain things further (though not too much that it becomes annoying). I dunno just thinking out loud here for now.

    • @Menosh
      @Menosh Рік тому +4

      I, personally, really liked this format. I really appreciated the pace of the video being kept- made the whole thing feel more engaging. I didn't mind having to pause to read some of the longer text boxes as a tradeoff.

    • @SchoellScrub
      @SchoellScrub  Рік тому +5

      I think the criticism is still valid here! After watching this back for like the 15th time there are a couple of instances where I think a text box fades out too fast unnecessarily, but that also said I did want to keep the pace consistent.
      Nothing more annoying to a viewer to have that pace broken to make the UA-camr babysit them for the sake of runtime when part of the appeal of high level gameplay (or at least that’s what my viewers have been calling it here) is the flow and pace of the match which is something I wanted to keep here.
      The only time I broke this was at the end, partially since there was a lot to point out… but mostly so the end of the music track would play out because I thought it synced up well!
      I do want to stick to my style of editing, so I won’t be adapting every bit of feedback that I do get for my next projects, but they’ll always be considered especially if it does fit in to that style. I want to improve at this.

    My only complaint is that the frequent use of zooms is a bit nauseating, though that might just be a me problem. Still, I think just having text appear is enough to grab someone's attention, you don't also need to zoom in on it. And when a big chain/combo goes off, I'll naturally focus on that anyway, no zoom needed

      Thank you for the feedback and deepest apologies about the nausea. The most of the feedback I’ve gotten surrounding the zoom ins have been mostly positive, but I don’t want it to be nauseating to anyone. I can see a lot of the zooms are fairly sudden and fast, maybe I could reduce the frequency of them and slow the animation down a little bit? Just thinking out loud here. Not quite sure just yet but something to consider. Thanks anyhow!

      @@SchoellScrub Don't worry, it's not a major problem anyway, the video is still watchable for me. But yeah, slower or less frequent zooms would probably help. Though if this isn't common feedback then it is just probably a me problem lol
      Thanks for the consideration anyway!

      TRUST ME, the spite of 4-wide in this video is but a fraction of the extent to which I can go on about it…
      For another time though…

    I remember playing PPT1. Back in sixth grade, I used to main Raffina. Now I'm in eighth, more well-acquainted with the series, and I like Sig better.
