Ahmed, I watched this twice and it is a gem. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this critical topic.
Thank you so much for walking us through this. As a newbie to the Dataverse, it can be a little overwhelming to try and get to grips with all of it, so you sharing your expertise and knoleedge means a lot to me!
Glad it was helpful! Stay tuned as I am planning to create a new video to show how we implement DV security roles in the modern experience 😀
Best video on Dataverse security right here, thanks Ahmed!

Thanks, Ahmed. It is very educational✌.
Thank you so much for your feedback
highly informative
thank you for your video: Is there a way to create a security role (per default they are env maker) that allows users to create Dataverse tables and only view/edit/delete the tables (and the data within the tables) they created?

Welcome aboard!
Thank u
Great video Ahmed, I followed you step by step and I am using Canvas app. All worked fine until I added new items to my dataverse table. The newly created records are not showing up in the gallery. Any idea what I could be missing. I applied simple filter criteria to the view as if column equals to this value filter it. But new items wont show up. Help...
Hi Ahmad, great video, wanted to ask why when we assign security roles to business unit we also select basic user why we can’t keep only customers per bu ?
Hi nice video
How we can manage the more complex scenario like State, city of an entire country?
Through the BUs and Teams: Parent BU for a country, then child BUs for the States, and finally Child BUs for the States BUs.
Excellent video, thank you. I have a question about security.
Which Dataverse feature should I use to achieve the same effect as breaking inheritance by row in SharePoint and choosing which people or groups can access that row?
Use the customer security roles and records level security to achieve this. Check this for more information learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/wp-security-cds#tablerecord-ownership
Can you control access to a view?
Say you are managing projects and different teams work different parts of the same record. Team A reviews the project and signs off it is ready to be worked. Team B starts working when Team A has completed the review. Team C reviews the project after team B did their part, and makes sure Team B did things correctly. Each team has a different view of the record. Can you control who can see what view?
If you use row based security roles where uses can see their own records only, their BU records, etc. In that case the views will carry on these previliges.
I'd like to limit records depend on value in a field. For example user can see his own rows or his team with value "Open" in in field "stat". But if somebody changes the value to "closed" - the user can't see the row. Is it possible?
Thank you sir, can we bulk add members to business unit or teams
You can assign multiple users to BUs using AAD groups.
hi ahmed, is manager BU necessary? is there any advantage of using it? Why not we customize the root BU?
If I have already had a solution (tables) with data, and I want to introduce these ideas of new buisness units and teams to manage access, does that mean for all those old data (owning team is currently the default root bu), I need to manually reassign all those data to new bus?
You can use Power Automate to bulk assign records to specific BUs.
Thank you for this video, Quick question.
Without a license can I create custom security roles like Read-Only, Contributor, and Administrator? And then assign to specific BU/Team?
Dataverse is a premium connector that requires premium license
Hi .I created a team using a AAD security group.
I assigned this team to one BU
and while I am updating the BU for the record I am getting error.(An error occurred. The selected action was not completed for one or more record)
But with normal team It is working fine.
Can you please help me here
Can you send me a Teams invitation anytime over the weekend.
