I don't know how, always the sound of the breath is so stupid fast that it breaks the magic of the helmets. As if the have never seen the movies and/or felt how normal breath rythm is. How ever, excellent video! Cheers

Most impressive. They heard the gripes from the last helmet, it was beautiful but the no neck bother most of us, including myself.. glad they added the extension on the neck. Looks like they went with a metal lower grill... Nice touch, they only should have adjusted the dome just a bit to raise it slightly on the backside of the top of the dome so it wouldn't slope, or made the dome slightly bigger, but tbh this is much more appealing than the first with the paint job and the tinted red lens. I will definitely be picking this one up 💯

The 2-toned color really helps a lot, and I really like the extended neck. A little disappointed it's mostly the same helmet otherwise though, many of the proportion problems remain because of it.
Also think that if they're basing it off Kenobi they could've improved the sound files by using assets from the show. I like it, but I don't think the few changes justify the noticeable price increase from the original version.
I will say that his one looks better. The paint pretty accurate. I also love Vader helmets with red lenses. I do think it would be nice if it was molded differently. I never was a fan of the dome/eye shape. (An off switch would also be nice.)

so where the bottom vent on the 2022 helmet I see screws and I wonder if I unscrew the screws if it’ll make more ventilation through the bottom vent

Is it really that hard to make a Darth Vader helmet in correct proportion? This one looks like from a cartoon
I walked in to Target to buy a lunch bag and found this beauty hiding on a bottom shelf in the garden department. I didn't notice at first the clearance tag on it. I got this Bad Boy for $70. What a find.

The only major down side to this version are those casting marks at the bottom of mouth vent near the tusks, a seam line down the neck and another casting mark on top of the dome. Still a very good looking helmet for the price. A little off in terms of proportion but a huge improvement over the original. It’s a solid buy for any fan still!

@@cambell9 man that sucks! Mine came clean thankfully. I’ve already seen a guy that got one that was the original version in the new box. Apparently someone poorly repainted it and put it in the new box and returned it!
@@92cb7sedan Hasbro is disappointing. Mines got the cast marks on the dome but not on the bottom. I think it's a gamble

3:36 I received mine and I almost returned it because there are two panels on the right side that are not painted. Did you notice?

What was the little black piece for?
To prop up the helmet if you display it by itself. It goes on the back of the helmet to keep it level on a shelf

I just got mine yesterday, I’m pretty impressed with it. I wasn’t a fan of the older version, so this one looks a lot better to me.
@Darth Vader But still extremely inaccurate. Why anyone would by this crap instead of the EFX is beyond me. The EFX is beautiful, this one is atrocious.

you dont have to hold it down, only press once but its only 4 short breaths, sadly not an infinite loop. turned on/off with button

It depends id say helmets cause to me personally legos are a dangerous rabbit hole where when u get one u get a bunch more cause there is so many lol at least with the helmets they drop them once or twice a year. Its really ur preference.

It’s decent size for sure. And putting it in pieces helps making easier to get on as well
Looks sick! How did it feel to wear it with glasses? Was it uncomfortable or did it fit good??
It surprisingly fit good with my glasses on. Still hot in there lol but def fit on my head with my glasses still on.

When you just have the collar on without the mask it makes a different breathing noise.
Inexcusable to me to not have a voice changer. Same for the Boba Fett/ Mandalorian/ Storm Trooper helmets.

@@starwarssith66 I Know there s an engineering guy on UA-cam who made his own Darth Vader instant voice changer, but i honestly don't know how to diy it myself 😅

Bought mine at Disney went home to open and found out the magnets inside of the hood were not there to attach to the mask. Very disappointed. Helmet is just plain beautiful however. Great buy. Not exactly cannon for those looking for exact replicas so relax peoples.

@@starwarssith66 They sent me a label to return it , but still I had to drive down to the UPS store to return, and now I'll have to wait a month to get the replacement. Hopefully the next one will be complete.

It always pains me seeing people man handling these shiny helmets with their bare, un-gloved hands getting finger prints and smudges all over their surfaces.
i have the 2018 all black version and just bought this new one. aside from the neck part that was lacking in the first version .i can say im quite disappointed in this new one. first of all it looks like crap the 2 colour scheme. it was made for the film and only for the film since the camera only picked up black and no shawdows so the grey highlights were made but in the SW universe his helmet is meant to be all black like in ROTS. In real life this colour scheme looks unfinished and horrid. the only thing todo is repaint the new neck piece all black and clip onto the older version. after that i will be putting up the new helmet with the old short neck piece for 50 euros or dollars if anyone wants it. cheers

Still terrible I see. Just get an EFX and be amazed how the helmet SHOULD look.

I dunno how people have been buying this thing for a long time. It looks nothing like the movie helmet, and also the breathing is way too high pitched and fast. Alot wrong with it in my eyes.
And it doesn't even look like Episode 3 or Kenobi.
