I got mine today, but had trouble connecting the outer helmet. Came here for a bit of instruction, thinking I was doing something wrong. Looks like the magnets on the outer helmet are missing. Really disappointed and, as carefully as it was boxed, can’t see how it happened. But thank you for clearing it up for me. Guess it’s going back.

It really isn’t! They’re cheap helmets but not accurate at all.
Looks cool this new update, I only regret that they didn't add a voice changer, I had a cheap Kylo Ren mask that change my voice, I don't understand why Hasbro couldn't add this tea in this new products of the Black Series line.
Probably cause voice changers suck and don’t really work so they’re not necessary.
@@yankeeforcestudios5431 voice changers dont suck, good ones just require a lot of power and space. but with some knowledge you could build one yourself.
i have the 2018 all black version and just bought this new one. aside from the neck part that was lacking in the first version .i can say im quite disappointed in this new one. first of all it looks like crap the 2 colour scheme. it was made for the film and only for the film since the camera only picked up black and no shawdows so the grey highlights were made but in the SW universe his helmet is meant to be all black like in ROTS. In real life this colour scheme looks unfinished and horrid. the only thing todo is repaint the new neck piece all black and clip onto the older version. after that i will be putting up the new helmet with the old short neck piece for 50 euros or dollars if anyone wants it. cheers

Total lazy rip off. Typical Hasbro and Disney, get the most money for the least effort. If you have the other Vader helmet, why would you bother?

The cheap mask has the voice feature. It’s cheap but they have it. This helmet doesn’t so that’s a negative but I did buy it
No. Bulky, ugly, the dome is too small. Not screen accurate.
yeah, I'm a huge Vader collector and again...huge disappointment. You go to the trouble of resculpting and it's still off just as much as the first one.....SMH
The face and neck look really well done. There's something off about the dome, however. Because it's plastic, it's not going to be as thick as fiberglass, but I think that and the widow's peak are what's off. Otherwise, looks really well done for the price!

The entire thing is off. Nothing about this helmet shares any resemblance to the screen used other then being Darth Vader.
@@jeremydrew1227 I watched the video and looked at a few others that on the YT, and I was seeing more and more just look off. I need to get a good look at the screen used helmet for OB1, but I tend to agree.
I've noticed that too. The helmet is smaller compared to the mask itself. Would prefer movie accurate sound effects for the clasp of the mask and helmet.

This thing looks wicked nice 👍🏼 the last Darth Vader electronic helmet I had was the one in stores back during Revenge of the Sith that had his chest gizmo attached. These things sure have come a long way since 2005

pardon my question but i know for the films they contrasted the colours scheme due to the shawdows of film. but in real life the grey metal and black look like crap. i know i have had all the helmets. the red lenses rubbish although present at the time of the mask piece conection to Vader in ROTS. i love the ROTS as the best Vader but also love the darker ROTJ version yetbwhy so much live for ANH which to me is the worst costume nostalugi aside. im in my 40s i grew up with SW yet i am lost. i have the ROTS costume and prefer that version
I was surprised when I was told it was on the way from Amazon. They originally said January. I got the same as you double boxed from hasbro and man did they make sure no scratches this time around. Paper and plastic! Awesome helmet.
It was released early. I should be receiving the package today.
I got mine from GameStop also surprised it was released early! I didn’t get a double box but had no damage. However mine did not come with tissue paper over the plastic bags. I only got the plastic bags. Was well wrapped but interesting that it didn’t have the extra wrapping. I checked the product box and all the tape is original so no open box. 🤷🏽

I like this helmet better than the first from the Black Series line.. Above all, I think the 2-tone scheme is great...it makes the helmet look more realistic...

I just received this helmet from Amazon, where I grabbed it for $110, a complete steal. I am very happy with it. It is an imposing looking helmet, and very well done.

It's a shame it doesn;t incorporate a voice changer module to make you sound more Vader-y
I've got one of these. Wearing it explains a lot about David Prowse's performance. Namely, it is extremely restrictive to movement and very hard to see through. You have to move your entire torso to look left and right and Mr. Prowse wasn't looking down when moving to look powerful; he was doing it because you can't see shit directly in front of you with it on.

The Vader black series helmet is a bad, expensive, inaccurate and ugly toy. The Altaya miniature helmet, and even the papercraft models are more accurate than this thing XD
I wish they would make a battle damaged helmet (like in the Obi Wan show) where there is a gash cut in and you can see a sliver of your face 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Where this is really very nice, the proportions screem "toy" ( unlike the other Hasbro helmet offerings) because it is undersized. Like others have mentioned here but could not quite put their finger on it but it is plain and simple: The helmet crown/dome is way too shallow! Compare it to a prop repica and it is quite evident.
Seems like an expensive piece of plastic. So, it makes breathing sounds that change based on whether the helmet is completely put together, even has pieces inside that resemble microphones for voice capture and augmentation, but doesn't change the voice at all. ??? LOL
so where the bottom vent on the 2022 helmet I see screws and I wonder if I unscrew the screws if it’ll make more ventilation through the bottom vent
I just got mine today from Amazon in the UK I like this it's better than the rubies supreme one I'm not planning on wearing this it's going on display on a Vader costume which will be the rubies supreme costume .

Wished they'd fixed that ugly big mouth grill and nose area and also the front part of the middle strip which looks like it's flared out. Still better than the first release but still not Hasbro's best. I own most of their other helmets and they kinda dropped the ball on their Vader helmet.

That's not a fan. That's actually the speaker for the sound effects. So that is a let down on this version as on the jedi one the speaker is hidden.

I still don't understand why every helmet made at this point in time isn't 100% movie accurate. We literally have had the technology to take a scan and make a mold of that scan... Strange.
Licensing. Unless you pay a premium for a helmet molded from the original castings, you aren't going to get movie caliber quality.

Does it really matter? it’s not meant to be a screen accurate helmet. It’s just a toy, but it looks great for what it is. You can still tell that it’s Darth Vader’s helmet. People are way too obsessed about screen accuracy.
@@connorsimpson503 we actually want pieces that look like the originals because they were the ones we obsessed over as kids when we watched the movies. We don't want vaguely kind of almost look like if you squint from 20 feet away in the dark.
Rubies deluxe helmet beats this in price and accuracy. You can add the electronics from third party sellers. And it doesnt look like a knock off

Stop talking about accuracy. This specific helmet existed in the Star Wars universe before the events of Rogue One ANH ESB ROTJ and ROTS. You can’t compare it to those other helmets because in the Star Wars timeline those events haven’t happened yet.

There is no excuse this helmet isn't more accurate. The x wing, boba Fett and Mando used originals as the base to work from. It doesn't cost any more to design an accurate helmet in the initial design phase.
The helmets you're referring don't come in multiple pieces. But this helmet is also reflective of the current iteration.

The motorcycle helmet stands work on it. The way the helmet sits the back part of the helmet just clears. And with the longer neck it hides the stand very well. Makes it look like it’s floating

I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 and saw this product about 4-5 months ago and should have bought it when I saw it. Now just made purchase with the price $45 more than when I last saw it! Still at AU$244 I still think it will be worth it. Comes in 2 weeks- can’t wait. Halloween night in 2023 gonna rock - got plenty of time to find a decent costume to go with the helmet 😊 Judging by other comments the one previously may have been the original Black Series helmet so it’s probably better i waited

Welcome to collecting, it’s expensive. Whats funny is that this is actually cheap compared to other Vader helmets, it sucks but it’s just the way it is
I just bought the Mandalorian and Boba Fett helmets to display in my movie room. All are nice additions, but the prices do add up. The shelf, helmet stands and helmets total up to $500. I probably have over $1,000 in lightsabers mounted around the room as well.
If you want a Vader helmet that actually attempt to replicate the film helmets youre looking at $600 and up.
i dont understand why the mask part is silver, i know in the films in certain scenes they used a slightly 2 tone section on his cheek to hide glare or something but having it that noticeable is weird... its the only thing stopping me from buying it.

Balclava needed though for long periods of cosplay uses x.x I use this for my Kenobi Vader cosplay as well, my bro got it for me last year for my birthday, he knew I wanted a fully realized Vader suit so, this was the best thing not to pay 1000 or more for a replica helmet :P
