Absolutely! I’m 6’, and wear an 11, but I would rather a 12 if they were around, and my feet are wide. I would absolutely never get that surgery! Sounds awful. 👠
A friend of mine had a leg lengthening surgery with internal fixations when she was 14 and we had to rotate her leg every day it was very painful. (1 1/2 inches!)
I just recently became a patient in Dr. Youn’s office for broken capillaries ( they’re REALLY bad) on my nose & face. So stoked to get rid of them! I have a spinal injury so I’m in pain ( no meds) , I lost a ton of weight so I have extra skin. I can’t hide the broken capillaries anymore but I can somewhat hide the loose skin and laugh to ease the pain ; and I’m single at 54( people stare at me 😒). Problem in society isn’t how we see ourselves as it’s the cruel judgement of others with their own physical flaws . Doesn’t make sense to me 🤔🤷♀️. I just want to be HEALTHY overall.

Oh I actually know something about 'toe-besity'. Not because I got cosmetic surgery for it, but because when I lost about 80 pounds, I realized I wasn't getting ingrown toenails anymore. On inspection, I realized my toes were even less fat. But what I'm getting at is that fat toes can cause an actual complication with recurring ingrown toenails. Lipo to keep that pain from happening while you safely lose weight everywhere else seems like an okay idea to me.
My nephew had that femur surgery because he has a syndrome that one side of his body grows more than the other. Thank goodness everything went well and his growing normally

They’re trying to change their fate, but it’s crazy because you really can’t change the fate that you were born with after all. Each person has his/her own fate arranged by God and by his/her own efforts put into his/her career/future, so palm reading lines surgeries can’t really change one’s fate.
I know someone who’s had both arm lengthening and leg lengthening. She had limb length differences and the leg lengthening meant that she was able to wear normal shoes and overall just living life better. It’s taken YEARS for her to get where she is now and is currently dealing with issues of her arm bone not making more bone in the space between the break

Same here, I knew about the foot filler because it was actually recommended to me but the palm line one and the G shot surprised me. I've heard of a few plastic surgeries down there but that was a new one.
So first, I'm in the US, I ran away from foster care at 16 and have been fully on my own since. I had been saving for 15 years before getting on Testosterone (my dose is 125$ a month cause I used to be an IV drug user, so to avoid being triggered by having syringes around I use a compounded cream, my cis-spouses injectable t replacement is about 25 a month) and my Grandmama inlaw is going to be splitting my chest surgery costs with me next year (I plan to put in about 6 or 7g) , she's lovely and I'm very lucky. However, I do know some people who have gotten their chest surgery covered through medicare, if that's your route, you need a therapist to be treating your dysphoria, a doctor to agree with your diagnosis and be willing to file requests with your insurance company (likely more than a few). I have a pectoral muscle tear that desperately needs to be addressed before surgery witch will likely effect the cost, not sure how relevant that is to anyone else's journey, but I have a huge chest and they have done some damage to my underlying tissues. I hope any of this is helpful or relevant :)

No we shouldn't judge people for getting surgery but what we do need to do as a society is stop expecting perfection and judging people's looks because often that's what leads to surgeries. I'm all about someone with reasonable expectations getting a little nip and tuck or augmentation to enhance their own looks. When you want to be a totally different person or think surgery will solve your life's problems that's where I have an issue.
My left leg is a inch shorter then my right. My sister suggested that I should have this procedure done and I thought no I'ill keep having my shoe built up thank you very much.
We have done lengthening surgeries. We had 2 cases where we excised the length in long leg and put it in the shorter leg. Where we did the surgery relied on xray lengths of femur and tibia, fibula. It would set someone up to lengthen the wrong bone that doesn't match the other leg.
When I was a kid my orthodontist said I should have my jaws broken in four places so my teeth would be perfect and my chin would be more defined. The surgery had risks and wasn’t guaranteed to work. I was about 11. My parents asked what I thought and I said no way! I’m glad they listened to me. I’m no Hollywood actress, my teeth are fine, and rubber bands fixed most everything. I have no issues with my chin either.

Sleep, vitamin D, K2 mk-7 all matter. But the big one I didn't know about was that not eating enough protein seriously stunts your growth. I needed around 75g - 150g of protein a day. And I was eating around 25g - 30g a day.
I can't imagine going through leg lengthening surgery purely for cosmetic reasons. No judgment of anyone that has chosen to do so, but I was run over as a child and it broke my right femur. After a month in traction, three months in a body cast, then having to gain enough strength to even get up on crutches....that's a hard pass for me.
I stopped growing at 12 because of precocious puberty. My understanding is that there was no treatment at the time. Despite being 4'11" I would never get leg lengthening. To be honest my legs are long for my height already (28" inseam) . I've heard now they can use HGH during puberty in order to combat this problem and hope it's true and that people don't resort to surgery.
Never realized my longer toe actually was called a "Morton's Toe". However there is no way I'd get surgery. The pictures shown were extreme cases and I'm glad they got relief.
@@AJ_AJ. Morton’s toe is technically a short big toe. The second toe only seems long by comparison. So if you didn’t have it, you’d still be wearing a 7.5, or possibly an 8!
I've heard of leg lengthening (and similar arm lengthening) being done as a way to treat achondroplasia. By lengthening the dwarfed arms and legs, the people can live a more normal life.
I wouldn't say limb lengthening surgery is really obscure anymore thanks to Baki popularizing it. Also, funnily enough I had heard of the idea of getting surgery on your palms to change your future before. It was in an episode of a radio show from Canada called Nightfall about a guy who was obsessed with palm reading.

I know someone who was in a very bad car accident. She was not expected to wake and when she did they said she'd never walk again. Today she has short term memory issues, but otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell, but she grew several inches while recovering and she was in her 20's. My guess is her body turned on growth hormones to help with the healing she needed. But still a method of getting taller that would not be recommended.
I wanted to be several inches taller because I’m only 5 feet and a half at the age of 38, a mother of 4 kids. But after hearing about the risks of leg lengthening, I don’t think I want to have the surgeries lol. I think just be myself is safer. My feet is size 6, my second toes are longer than my great toes, but I have no problem wearing shoes. I wear mostly sneakers, sometimes boots (1-3 in height thick heels), ballet flats, and sandals (1/2 - 2 inches in height), rarely wears skinny high heels.
I had a neighbor who’s daughter had the leg lengthening procedure. She started very young. About 5 yrs old. She was born one leg a lot shorter than the other. She wore a platform shoe. It looked like a shoe with a heavy sole x 100! She was a very strong girl. She did cheerleading and a few other things and did it as if she had no disability at all. Wonderful kid! I haven’t seen her in many years and I often wonder how she is doing now and if the surgery worked well.
I heard about the fat injections in your feet when I was in my early teens over 20 years ago. I hope that the technology has finally come far along for me to do it in my lifetime!
My mom had her bunions removed so she could wear cute shoes. Instead she ended up having perpetually swollen feet and ankles and had to wear boats on her feet and it was painful to walk for the last 30 years of her life.
I has a conversation recently about the lengthening surgery, talking about working for a Japanese Company, "do they really do that there?" What makes you think people only would do that in Japan? Really Cinderella surgery fascinates me. Is my 3rd toe on one of my feet being longer than my first part of my issue with a lot of shoes?
It could but I would probably ask a foot doctor to see if there might be any other issues that could be getting in the way and the best way to go at it

yes there is. My brother crushed his finger in a basketball game. he had a broken index from the ball hitting it and when he was down, someone stepped on his hand and crushed the bone. He had reconstructive surgery to save what's left of the bone. Then later on had another surgery to make his index bone straight again by using metal rods to keep the finger in place. but you have to go through shit tones of rehabilitation physical therapy to get your toes moving normal again. it's a long process that takes years. But it is possible. Never give up ❤
My sister in law just had her crooked previously broken toe fixed. It was a painful and long recovery, but she's very happy with it. She broke her toe years ago and was having a lot of pain from it rubbing on shoes and other toes. It was in no way noticeable unless she pointed it out.
I’ve got Morton’s Toe, and i love it. My small big toe means that I have more room in the toe box compared to most people, so much less risk of bunions, hammertoes, etc. if I wore heels or peep toes I might feel differently, but I mostly live in steel toed work boots, where it’s a big advantage.

My guess was going to be that the third type of Cinderella surgery would be more drastic: narrowing the end of the foot by removing the internal and external philanges of the middle toe and removing the external tissue. So basically a toe amputation, but you pull the roots out, too. Does anyone do that? A lot of women's shoes are pointy at the end, and many women can't wear them without risking injury.
Great question. I hope the doctor responds. (He's super Groovy!) I have had an ankle reconstruction and an ankle reconstruction revision. I am unable to walk barefoot any longer; on doctors orders. It isn't easy walking with shoes on the heel either. I wonder if I would be a candidate and if insurance would cover in my case. ✌
I have wide feet- and they're a bit fat lol, and it's hard to find shoes that I can get my feet into and be comfortable unless I spend more at a plus sized store. I just buy men's shoes a lot since they have more room. I'm more of a barefoot person anyway.
The first thought in my head when you were explain the leg lengthening process was “fat embolism”… And they say tv isn’t educational… Actually, I first heard of that happening from a broken leg in the book “A Separate Piece”. You know, before I had to go through the horror of surgically induced menopause, I was 5’9”. That’s fairly tall for a woman. I liked being tall, but it was hard to find dates taller than me (they were usually the same height or a tiny bit taller) and strangers in stores would see me and say, “You’re tall, can you reach that for me?” That last was particularly annoying… I’ve also always been very thin with big feet, finally stopping between a size 10 or 11 depending on the shoe, so you can imagine… Some shoes are so cute, but when I try them on I look like Sideshow Bob 😂 Plus my second toes on both feet are longer than my big toes and my third toes are the same length as my big toes. Yeah, I have freakish, ugly feet. But would I ever get surgery to have pretty feet? HELL no! I’m the person who has always been so hard on shoes you’re lucky I can keep a pair of sneakers for a year! If I had pretty, dainty feet, I don’t think I’d know wtf to do with them! I’ll stick with the big ugly freaks. They’ve served me well these 49 years. I’ll just buy shoes that don’t make me look like Sideshow Bob 😂
9:37 I have toes like that, but that sounds incredibly painful and unnecessary, especially because a lot of shoes seem like they think that the middle toe is the longest one.
I have a somewhat significant leg length discrepancy (I had emergency hip surgery in the fourth grade which left my affected leg slightly longer than the other) and I still don't think I'd get leg lengthening surgery. It seems just a little too barbaric...

I think it’s usually only done on ppl with uneven legs bc it’s a super painful procedure so most doctors probably wouldn’t recommend it for cosmetic reasons.
I have Morton’s toe. My children have it too. I wear shoes that are one size ‘too big’ but honestly, it’s better for my toe’s flexibility and general foot health.
i have very wide feet that make it hard to find shoes that aren't ugly or outside of my style, so i'd honestly love for my morton's toe to be my biggest problem instead LOL
I can see how foot injections would help the padding of feet. How would it help the skin thickness though!? If skin continues to thin would it not be really bad for someone and the fillers of no ultimate help? Possibly causing further complications below broken down skin?
I have heel spure for years now i cant walk berefooth enymore. And indead i always walked barefout on hard serveses inside. Or in the garden dont know if that caused it. Because i did not walk that way ouers on end
I am very petite and wear a size 33-34 shoe which I cannot find in the USA. My feet are fine, just small. I must order shoes from the UK, Italy or France to fit me. No to the Cinderella procedure. No to leg lengthening, I will wear heals. Too many risks and I love my life. Interesting to learn that there are procedures such as these. Thank you.
Fashion can be evil at times. Can you imagine feeling like you need to change your feet to fit into shoes? It makes me angry. Shoes are for people, not people for shoes.
I would NEVER betray my feet like that! I can’t imagine shortening my second toe for any reason, unless it was cancerous or something. I don’t want stubby, freaky toes. I haven’t experienced shoes troubles from the length of my toes. Instead, my shoe troubles are from having wider than extra wide feet, having EDS, and from a broken foot. I have never liked the look of ridiculously narrow shoes, so why in the world would I even be tempted to make my feet fit into them?! High heels might as well be murder, for my high arches (they don’t touch the floor very much at all) and a slightly damaged tendon from stepping on glass when I was about 13. I have never found a pair that even kind of fit me. With EDS, and therefore unstable ankles, I don’t think high heels would be a good plan for any length of time. I like my feet and would never want them to look like other people’s gross feet.

I have a slightly longer second too, too. I heard they call it the Greek foot (like it's a lineage trait?) I broke the one on my left foot (twice!) by accident and never went to the doctor but the bone fused together with the ends on top of each other, i think and that foot looks prettier with it's shorter second toe! x

She was in the hospital for 6 weeks and had to walk with crutches for months but I don‘t remember exactly how long it took

Never realized my longer toe actually was called a "Morton's Toe". However there is no way I'd get surgery. The pictures shown were extreme cases and I'm glad they got relief.

@@AJ_AJ. Morton’s toe is technically a short big toe. The second toe only seems long by comparison. So if you didn’t have it, you’d still be wearing a 7.5, or possibly an 8!

I've heard of leg lengthening (and similar arm lengthening) being done as a way to treat achondroplasia. By lengthening the dwarfed arms and legs, the people can live a more normal life.
I wouldn't say limb lengthening surgery is really obscure anymore thanks to Baki popularizing it. Also, funnily enough I had heard of the idea of getting surgery on your palms to change your future before. It was in an episode of a radio show from Canada called Nightfall about a guy who was obsessed with palm reading.

I know someone who was in a very bad car accident. She was not expected to wake and when she did they said she'd never walk again. Today she has short term memory issues, but otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell, but she grew several inches while recovering and she was in her 20's. My guess is her body turned on growth hormones to help with the healing she needed. But still a method of getting taller that would not be recommended.

I wanted to be several inches taller because I’m only 5 feet and a half at the age of 38, a mother of 4 kids. But after hearing about the risks of leg lengthening, I don’t think I want to have the surgeries lol. I think just be myself is safer. My feet is size 6, my second toes are longer than my great toes, but I have no problem wearing shoes. I wear mostly sneakers, sometimes boots (1-3 in height thick heels), ballet flats, and sandals (1/2 - 2 inches in height), rarely wears skinny high heels.
I had a neighbor who’s daughter had the leg lengthening procedure. She started very young. About 5 yrs old. She was born one leg a lot shorter than the other. She wore a platform shoe. It looked like a shoe with a heavy sole x 100! She was a very strong girl. She did cheerleading and a few other things and did it as if she had no disability at all. Wonderful kid! I haven’t seen her in many years and I often wonder how she is doing now and if the surgery worked well.

My mom had her bunions removed so she could wear cute shoes. Instead she ended up having perpetually swollen feet and ankles and had to wear boats on her feet and it was painful to walk for the last 30 years of her life.

yes there is. My brother crushed his finger in a basketball game. he had a broken index from the ball hitting it and when he was down, someone stepped on his hand and crushed the bone. He had reconstructive surgery to save what's left of the bone. Then later on had another surgery to make his index bone straight again by using metal rods to keep the finger in place. but you have to go through shit tones of rehabilitation physical therapy to get your toes moving normal again. it's a long process that takes years. But it is possible. Never give up ❤
My sister in law just had her crooked previously broken toe fixed. It was a painful and long recovery, but she's very happy with it. She broke her toe years ago and was having a lot of pain from it rubbing on shoes and other toes. It was in no way noticeable unless she pointed it out.

I’ve got Morton’s Toe, and i love it. My small big toe means that I have more room in the toe box compared to most people, so much less risk of bunions, hammertoes, etc. if I wore heels or peep toes I might feel differently, but I mostly live in steel toed work boots, where it’s a big advantage.

My guess was going to be that the third type of Cinderella surgery would be more drastic: narrowing the end of the foot by removing the internal and external philanges of the middle toe and removing the external tissue. So basically a toe amputation, but you pull the roots out, too. Does anyone do that? A lot of women's shoes are pointy at the end, and many women can't wear them without risking injury.
I'm 5'2 and I'm happy with height... sometimes! Although I'd never want to have surgery just to be taller.

It isn't easy walking with shoes on the heel either. I wonder if I would be a candidate and if insurance would cover in my case. ✌

I have wide feet- and they're a bit fat lol, and it's hard to find shoes that I can get my feet into and be comfortable unless I spend more at a plus sized store. I just buy men's shoes a lot since they have more room. I'm more of a barefoot person anyway.
The first thought in my head when you were explain the leg lengthening process was “fat embolism”… And they say tv isn’t educational… Actually, I first heard of that happening from a broken leg in the book “A Separate Piece”.
You know, before I had to go through the horror of surgically induced menopause, I was 5’9”. That’s fairly tall for a woman. I liked being tall, but it was hard to find dates taller than me (they were usually the same height or a tiny bit taller) and strangers in stores would see me and say, “You’re tall, can you reach that for me?” That last was particularly annoying… I’ve also always been very thin with big feet, finally stopping between a size 10 or 11 depending on the shoe, so you can imagine… Some shoes are so cute, but when I try them on I look like Sideshow Bob 😂 Plus my second toes on both feet are longer than my big toes and my third toes are the same length as my big toes. Yeah, I have freakish, ugly feet. But would I ever get surgery to have pretty feet? HELL no! I’m the person who has always been so hard on shoes you’re lucky I can keep a pair of sneakers for a year! If I had pretty, dainty feet, I don’t think I’d know wtf to do with them! I’ll stick with the big ugly freaks. They’ve served me well these 49 years. I’ll just buy shoes that don’t make me look like Sideshow Bob 😂

I have a somewhat significant leg length discrepancy (I had emergency hip surgery in the fourth grade which left my affected leg slightly longer than the other) and I still don't think I'd get leg lengthening surgery. It seems just a little too barbaric...

I think it’s usually only done on ppl with uneven legs bc it’s a super painful procedure so most doctors probably wouldn’t recommend it for cosmetic reasons.

I have Morton’s toe. My children have it too. I wear shoes that are one size ‘too big’ but honestly, it’s better for my toe’s flexibility and general foot health.

I can see how foot injections would help the padding of feet. How would it help the skin thickness though!? If skin continues to thin would it not be really bad for someone and the fillers of no ultimate help? Possibly causing further complications below broken down skin?

I am very petite and wear a size 33-34 shoe which I cannot find in the USA. My feet are fine, just small. I must order shoes from the UK, Italy or France to fit me. No to the Cinderella procedure. No to leg lengthening, I will wear heals. Too many risks and I love my life. Interesting to learn that there are procedures such as these. Thank you.

I would NEVER betray my feet like that! I can’t imagine shortening my second toe for any reason, unless it was cancerous or something. I don’t want stubby, freaky toes. I haven’t experienced shoes troubles from the length of my toes. Instead, my shoe troubles are from having wider than extra wide feet, having EDS, and from a broken foot. I have never liked the look of ridiculously narrow shoes, so why in the world would I even be tempted to make my feet fit into them?! High heels might as well be murder, for my high arches (they don’t touch the floor very much at all) and a slightly damaged tendon from stepping on glass when I was about 13. I have never found a pair that even kind of fit me. With EDS, and therefore unstable ankles, I don’t think high heels would be a good plan for any length of time. I like my feet and would never want them to look like other people’s gross feet.

I have a slightly longer second too, too. I heard they call it the Greek foot (like it's a lineage trait?) I broke the one on my left foot (twice!) by accident and never went to the doctor but the bone fused together with the ends on top of each other, i think and that foot looks prettier with it's shorter second toe! x
