- Recreation Ford GT40 into race car just like in GT2 Modification race version still fairly quick again three Legendary Cars Jag Ferrari and Ford Mark IV. This race is 2 Lap 10 Opponents 3 is rivals other just Multi class race.
Gameplay PS5 with no assists.

As someone who owns this car in the game i can confirm this is the mark 1 which is a road car not a race car

I'm super sure that this GT40 is based on the MK1, not the 2. The 2 has a slightly different design on the rear. The 2 also has a 4 speed transmission and not the 5.

Yeah that is definitely a mark 1 with the 289 engine. The mark 2 has more air scoops and has the 427 and so does the mark 4.

@@GTSW1FT yeah, the golf paint scheme didn’t come out until 1969. And yes it’s 302 powered. But the best thing about this chassis’s number. Is that it also won in 68. Making it one of the few cars in history to win twice. But yeah, they learned that all those scoops did what they were intended for, and scooped up air. But just to much of the stuff. And by 1968 and 1969, the cars looks a lot like mark 1’s. But these car are not Ford backed, as Ford was focused on the J car, which Ford had designed from the ground up. Yeah it won in 67, and after that Ford sold the GT- 4O design to Gulf oil. As Ford had achieved its goal, A fully Ford designed car winning the 24 hours of Leman’s. As the original GT-40 was actually designed by Loyola. A British company.

Why did they name the GT40 "Mark ll" which should be "Mark l" moreover it should be "68" but written "66"
You are right, the gulf GT-40 is from 1968, however the person just slapped the 1968 livery on a 1966 Mk I GT-40. You can tell that the car isn't the one from 1968 because the 1966 and 1968 cars have slightly different vents on the hood.
